Eric John Blatti

Eric is the man! I was driving down 355 and the speed limit dropped to 55mph causing me to be 26+ over the limit. This is a common speed zone and the officer was sitting there waiting for people like myself. Everyone was going 80mph+ but I happened to be the one to get picked this time. I fully suppo...rt police officers and it was 100% my fault. I was handed a ticket that said 625 ILCS 5/11-601.5(a) which is a Class B Misdemeanor. I started googling what to do and do I need a lawyer, etc. etc. Once I realized what I was facing, I got scared and was very nervous for my future. Luckily my good buddy hired Mr. Blatti for an even higher offense, a class A misdemeanor a few months before and had great success with his case. Without Eric Blatti, I could have been facing up to 180 days in jail and/or a $1,500 fine. FYI the legal system in place works and I haven't gone 5+mph over since so I am thankful for that reality check. I emailed Mr. Blatti a few times the weeks leading up to my court date and he reassured that everything was going to be fine and he would meet me in the courtroom. He was very quick to respond, even at unusual hours. I've never been to court before so I was extremely nervous. I was sitting in the courtroom and Mr. Blatti called out my name and brought me to the hall for a brief moment to go over what was going to happen. He had me fill out a sheet which was then given to the judge. FYI if you hire a lawyer, you don't have to wait that long because all the people in the courtroom with hired lawyers typically go first, at least in my experience. My name was called to face the Judge, we handed him the form and I was scheduled another date to come back. The day I came back, which was a month or so later, the police officer didn't show up. The entire case was dropped and I didn't have to pay a penny to the court. Without Eric Blatti's guidance, I don't even want to imagine the outcome. This was a scary situation for me and Mr. Blatti made it seamless. I trust Eric Blatti and if you need a criminal defense lawyer, he's the best in the business!

Most people are unfamiliar with the legal practice and the court system until they find themselves unwittingly or unwillingly "involved" in it. The first lawyer that I retained was a referral from an attorney that helped my family for over 30 years. However, it was not a strong relationship.
