If you need an attorney that truly CARES this is your guy. Eric helped me with my overweight ticket which resulted in case being dismissed. He was truly amazing throughout this process and I was able to get a hold of him at any given time(even during his vacation days). If he was not there when I cal...led he would returned phone calls right away. He treated me with respect and came to court prepared with piles of evidence to help my case. Most people are unfamiliar with the legal practice and the court system until they find themselves unwittingly or unwillingly "involved" in it. The first lawyer that I retained was a referral from an attorney that helped my family for over 30 years. However, it was not a strong relationship. It wa...s more like a reference based on a --- I know a guy--- "vaguely"--- that serves that county. Needless to say, it did not end up working out. Two office visits, three court appearances, and $3000 later; I decided that my recommended lawyer was not listening to my needs or spending anytime educating himself on the specific area of law that pertained to my case. I later found out, after interviewing several law firms and local lawyers, that there were many lawyers that were not educated or aware of the recently written IL Compiled Statues that pertained to my case. Nor were they familiar with the statues that I qualified for under the newly written laws. Mr. Blatti was the ONLY lawyer that was willing to invest his time, energy, BUT most importantly; his empathy to my case. Eric was willing to engage in something that most lawyers and doctors have lost in their years of practice: Eric was willing to ACTIVELY LISTEN to what I was saying and what I wanted. Beyond his active listening skills, Eric Blatti is an extremely well versed lawyer. He approaches your case from several different perspectives and strategies to get you the best possible outcome for your legal issues. He is the epitome of an out of the box thinker, who listens to what you want and strives to explain the legal system in easy to understand language, so that you know what options are available to you. My case was a very difficult and unpopular or unsavory issue that occurs frequently in society today. However, Mr. Blatti took the time and effort to give me a second chance. Because of Mr. Blatti's efforts and expertise my case will eventually be expunged and I will be able to provide for my family and rebuild our lives together. This would not have been possible if I had remained with my first lawyer. I will never regret hiring Eric Blatti to represent me.
