Biography
A zealous advocate with a noteworthy background in family law, Shay Formanek approaches each case with strategic and assertive representation. Ms. Formanek concentrates her practice in all areas of Matrimonial and Family Law, including matters involving complex litigation, mediation and negotiated settlement agreements.
Ms. Formanek was recognized as an Illinois Rising Star for 2020 - 2024 by Super Lawyers, an exclusive honor received by only 2.5% of attorneys selected after a thorough evaluation of numerous criteria related to their specific practice areas. Ms. Formanek is also mediation certified through Chicago’s Center for Conflict Resolution, an invaluable skill in the world of divorce and family law.
A Wisconsin native and Chicago transplant, Ms. Formanek received her J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law and graduated magna cum laude from Western Carolina University in North Carolina.
