Abandoned in Open Court - Beware of Brad Erdman

If you are looking for an attorney to protect your family and your assets, look elsewhere. I retained Bradley Erdman at Mirabella, Kincaid, Frederick & Mirabella, LLC (MKFM Law) for a child custody and financial enforcement case. On March 4, 2026, during an active custody status hearing, I asked him ...a few standard, clarifying questions about the court process and our strategy for enforcing a major financial judgment. Instead of answering me, Brad became completely dismissive and abruptly withdrew as my attorney right there in open court. He left me completely unrepresented in front of the judge during a critical moment in my custody case. A family law attorney is supposed to be your advocate during highly stressful times. Brad Erdman proved that if you ask questions or expect clear communication, he will cut and run, leaving you entirely exposed. I am now filing a formal grievance with the state disciplinary commission. Protect yourself and find counsel who actually honors their ethical obligations to their clients. #MKFMLaw #DuPageCounty #WheatonIL #FamilyLaw #DivorceAttorney #ChildCustody

Client questions are addressed promptly with clear communication and professionalism. It is both the foundation of this profession and the cornerstone of my practice. Attorney withdrawal is governed by Supreme Court Rule and may only occur with judicial approval. It is not a request that is lightly made or granted, and the Court will deny any request that would delay the proceedings or would otherwise be inequitable. Therefore, I respectfully disagree with the characterization presented, which omits critical context that cannot be addressed in a public forum based on our duty of confidentiality. I agree that divorce proceedings are inherently stressful for clients, and I strive to cure it whenever possible through diligent advocacy and direct communication. Anyone with questions about representation is encouraged to discuss them with me or my office, so we can address them properly.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
