One of the good guys

My family hired Mr. Newitt to represent us during some very contentious trust/estate litigation. His legal work was first rate. He showed great instincts when it came to objectively assessing the strengths and weaknesses of our case. More importantly, he provided a steady hand when emotions were r...unning rampant. Estate litigation is a miserable experience, but Tim made it bearable.

Relationship: Worked together on matter

"I have been privileged to have Tim as a mentor for the past seven years. He is brilliant, extremely thorough, and an all-around class act. He knows more about the Rules of Civil Procedure than any attorney that I know. He is also kind to his clients and to other attorneys. There aren't enough characters to type out all of his good qualities and skills. I would recommend Tim in a heartbeat."

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
