Lori Quist, Highly recommend!

When choosing an attorney to represent you in a legal matter it is most important to choose one that is an expert in the legal matter you are facing. I cannot stress this enough to help ensure that your best interest and legal rights are protected. Every attorney will tell you they can represent you ...in any matter, but a good attorney will only really want to take the case if they know they are versed in the specific matter relating to the case in question. I have used many attorneys for many cases over the years, but I have never used one that is, so laser focused on her niche of practicing law than Lorie Quest. I chose Lori because she is an expert in representing clients in real estate and housing matters. She is brilliant, aggressive, and fully transparent of what is always going on with your case. One of the best things about Lori is that she knows the law and loves practicing it to a lever most other attorney will never reach. Lori is widely respected in the legal community by other attorneys and judges alike. She has gained this respect because she is a no BS attorney that wants to get cases resolved and not to simply keep continuing matters for financial gain. She knows how the legal system works in Chicagoland and the neighboring countries which also make a huge difference, in other words she knows people. If you need representation in a legal matter that is related to a housing or real estate, you cannot afford not to run the case by Lori first before choosing an attorney for representation.

I couldn’t asked for anyone better to represent me!

Before I was recommended to see Lori for my complicated, child custody case, I hired an attorney out of desperation because I was prevented to see my children due to false accusations. Regardless of how unfair I feel about the initial visitation schedules, I was told to agree temporary for the sake o...f seeing my children again. When the initial court date was finally established, that attorney ended up dropping my case, with an excuse saying that I can’t afford them. It was very contradicting of them to mention that I can’t afford them, when they advertised themselves as an affordable law firm that will work with clients with payments. When I talked to one of my good friends about my situations, she recommended that I consult my case with Lori. My first impression with Lori was wonderful! When I first talked to her, because her office (at the time) was very far, she was willing to accommodate with my work schedule and waited for me. And even though her office was already closed, she still take the time to listen to my child custody issues, was very understanding, and still accept my case, even though it was considered complicated. When Lori came to the first court date, I was really impressed with how she handled the case. While the opposing counsel was very rude and unprofessional to Lori and the Judge, Lori remained calm, professional, and respectful at the same time. During the child custody case, with all the obstacles, accusations, and games that the opposing counsel(s) did to make me seems like an unfit mother, Lori’s integrity, determination, knowledge, compassion and hard work have proven again and again that the claims were false and the truth prevailed. And when she sensed my discomforts/fears of the opposing counsel/client, she makes sure that I feel protected, safe and reassured. I cannot say that I agree or disagree about the negative comments, but I feel that even though each case are different, at the end, everything depends on the honesty, patience, communication and team work between clients and their counsel(s). There are many clients that expect their attorney to do everything for them because “they pay them to do so”, and there are attorneys that don’t do their work on a timely manner because they are trying to get as much money as possible from their clients. But Lori has many times, shown that she cares about her client and looked out for the best interest in her clients. Money wasn’t her priority, and was only involved when the services/fees was applied and necessary. Again, it’s a team effort and honesty between clients and attorney. And the results will depends on what was given to the attorney(s) to present it to the judge to make the case strong. From the beginning to the end of the child custody case, Lori remained very kind, compassionate and professional. With the retainer fees and other court related cost, she is very reasonable and fair. She never gave me a feeling of being abandoned because she is very reliable and have always been honest about the case. I really appreciated that she goes out of her way, even with her busy schedules, to check up on me. I truly feel that Lori cares about her clients and do her very best to accommodate with her clients’ requests and needs. I am very grateful that she represents my case. I couldn’t asked for anyone better to represent me and will definitely hire her again if needed!

Worst attorney I've ever seen - UNRESPONSIVE

I don't know how there can be so many positive reviews from other people. Based on this one and only case that I will ever use her for, she has been nothing but a complete nightmare of an attorney for me. She missed two of the actual appearances and had someone else show up for them. But neither s...tand in attorneys would advise me of anything on the cases. I specifically asked for the case to be heard in markham because I knew Markham would only give the tenant two weeks to play court date games. She said that chicago was better for her and they were all the same. Well 14 weeks later and I still didn't have a possession order or know the results of the hearing. So clearly they are not the same. In the second court hearing in early december, The tenant's attorney offered to be out by the 1st of January if I agreed to give up the money claim. By agreeing to let them stay an additional month, I was explicitly told by Lori over the phone (the actual attorney that stood in for her refused to give me any advice as he said I was not his client) that I would automatically get a judgment of possession and the money if the tenants were not out by the 1st. So I agreed. First of jan came and went and nothing. She then told me that on the court date on Jan 4 i would get possession but not necessarily the money. What????? Thats why agreed to the extra month in the first place. So of course she was out of town on the 4th and had someone stand in for her AGAIN. She told me several times they would contact me with the results on both the possession and the money. Nothing. I called and left vmails. Sent emails. She was back on the 9th. But she didn't respond until the 12th. On the 12th she emailed and said we didn't get a money judgement. But the kicker was she didn't give me a single thing on the possession order ruling. Was it granted? If so, for what date? Her one email said she'd get me a copy of the order but then she never did. Not until Jan 24 after I filed this complaint. Not to mention, the whole reason I tried her is because she said she would file the possession order downtown with the sheriff's office which saves me an entire day off work. But this attorney is impossible to contact. She absolutely misled me about the agreement back in december in telling me I would get the judgement for possession AND money if they weren't out by the Jan 1 date.. DO NOT use this attorney. She's incredibly unresponsive. When she doesn't show to her own cases she doesn't have people that stand in for her cases that will act as your attorney in terms of advising what the results actually were. She's been an absolute nightmare for me to get any answers from!

Excellent, affordable, and professional.

I am living in California and I needed a child support adjustment in an Illinois court. I needed an attorney who I could trust to get the job done. Lori handled my issue efficiently and she's affordable. She got my case into court quickly. She kept me informed about what was happening and what to ex...pect. I got the results I was looking for. She's a true professional, an excellent attorney.
