Poor excuse for an attorney, very unprofessional

Lori was very gracious at first hire for an eviction. After getting her all the paper work that she needed, she went in and got a judgment, however the amount was $10,000 off. Called her office to get this straightened out, Lori could not be bothered by me. She NEVER returned a phone call. Its be...en four months and I still have not received a copy of my judgment so I (and I stress the word "I" because I have to be the one to go and have it filed with the sheriff's office). Can't file with the sheriff if I don't have a copy of the judgment and amended judgment. Lori DOES NOT return phone calls. Once she gets your money, you don't hear from her and she is very unprofessional. In fact, two of her workers quit during the time period that I have been a client. It's been four months, I still don't have my judgment, order of possession and my squatter tenant is still in the home that I own. Please think twice before hiring her.

Save Your Money,Time and Headache

I hired Atty.Quist to represent me in a eviction case, that I filed pro se.She told me she would appear on my behalf and she would notify me if I need to appear in court. I called Atty.Quist on numerous times for updates. When I was able to get a hold of her,she gives me instructions for her assistant...,who knows nothing about my case. She had constant turnovers of assistants. None were allow to go into the files without Atty. Quist permission. Atty Quist never initiated any calls to me and it became very difficult to contact her. Finally she tells me the case is going to trial and she will notify of the date. She NEVER did. Again I called her several times to get a trial date from her or her assistant. I left many, many text messages and voicemails all to no avail. Atty Quist never notifiedme of my trial date by phone, mail or E-mail. She never discussed preparation for the trial or any documents that would be needed. I hired Atty. Quist because she said that she would protect my rights and that my case was "winable". She did nothing to represent me and instead cost me a judgement of $969.00 I lost months of rental income and property damages by the tenant. Atty Quist has cause me additional financial loss and ruined my credit. There was no way I would've missed a court appearance or even filed an appeal,if I was notified. I don't understand how Atty Quist can practice law in this manner.

Not working in your best interest

I hired this attorney for the eviction of a tenant. Not only did she file it in the wrong county which postponed the process by thirty days while my tenant was living rent free but she also negotiated with him when they went to court costing me an additional month with additional expenses that could... have been avoided. Worst service ever. Do yourself a favor and hire a real professional.

Worst attorney I've ever seen - UNRESPONSIVE

I don't know how there can be so many positive reviews from other people. Based on this one and only case that I will ever use her for, she has been nothing but a complete nightmare of an attorney for me. She missed two of the actual appearances and had someone else show up for them. But neither s...tand in attorneys would advise me of anything on the cases. I specifically asked for the case to be heard in markham because I knew Markham would only give the tenant two weeks to play court date games. She said that chicago was better for her and they were all the same. Well 14 weeks later and I still didn't have a possession order or know the results of the hearing. So clearly they are not the same. In the second court hearing in early december, The tenant's attorney offered to be out by the 1st of January if I agreed to give up the money claim. By agreeing to let them stay an additional month, I was explicitly told by Lori over the phone (the actual attorney that stood in for her refused to give me any advice as he said I was not his client) that I would automatically get a judgment of possession and the money if the tenants were not out by the 1st. So I agreed. First of jan came and went and nothing. She then told me that on the court date on Jan 4 i would get possession but not necessarily the money. What????? Thats why agreed to the extra month in the first place. So of course she was out of town on the 4th and had someone stand in for her AGAIN. She told me several times they would contact me with the results on both the possession and the money. Nothing. I called and left vmails. Sent emails. She was back on the 9th. But she didn't respond until the 12th. On the 12th she emailed and said we didn't get a money judgement. But the kicker was she didn't give me a single thing on the possession order ruling. Was it granted? If so, for what date? Her one email said she'd get me a copy of the order but then she never did. Not until Jan 24 after I filed this complaint. Not to mention, the whole reason I tried her is because she said she would file the possession order downtown with the sheriff's office which saves me an entire day off work. But this attorney is impossible to contact. She absolutely misled me about the agreement back in december in telling me I would get the judgement for possession AND money if they weren't out by the Jan 1 date.. DO NOT use this attorney. She's incredibly unresponsive. When she doesn't show to her own cases she doesn't have people that stand in for her cases that will act as your attorney in terms of advising what the results actually were. She's been an absolute nightmare for me to get any answers from!

The worst attorney you will ever come in contact with in your lifetime. Be very careful!

Did not defend me in a recent case it was almost like she was working for the defense attorney the way she was treating me. Never prepare my defense and could care less for me as a client. As long she got her money she was happy. Good luck!
