Worst attorney I've ever seen - UNRESPONSIVE

I don't know how there can be so many positive reviews from other people. Based on this one and only case that I will ever use her for, she has been nothing but a complete nightmare of an attorney for me. She missed two of the actual appearances and had someone else show up for them. But neither s...tand in attorneys would advise me of anything on the cases. I specifically asked for the case to be heard in markham because I knew Markham would only give the tenant two weeks to play court date games. She said that chicago was better for her and they were all the same. Well 14 weeks later and I still didn't have a possession order or know the results of the hearing. So clearly they are not the same. In the second court hearing in early december, The tenant's attorney offered to be out by the 1st of January if I agreed to give up the money claim. By agreeing to let them stay an additional month, I was explicitly told by Lori over the phone (the actual attorney that stood in for her refused to give me any advice as he said I was not his client) that I would automatically get a judgment of possession and the money if the tenants were not out by the 1st. So I agreed. First of jan came and went and nothing. She then told me that on the court date on Jan 4 i would get possession but not necessarily the money. What????? Thats why agreed to the extra month in the first place. So of course she was out of town on the 4th and had someone stand in for her AGAIN. She told me several times they would contact me with the results on both the possession and the money. Nothing. I called and left vmails. Sent emails. She was back on the 9th. But she didn't respond until the 12th. On the 12th she emailed and said we didn't get a money judgement. But the kicker was she didn't give me a single thing on the possession order ruling. Was it granted? If so, for what date? Her one email said she'd get me a copy of the order but then she never did. Not until Jan 24 after I filed this complaint. Not to mention, the whole reason I tried her is because she said she would file the possession order downtown with the sheriff's office which saves me an entire day off work. But this attorney is impossible to contact. She absolutely misled me about the agreement back in december in telling me I would get the judgement for possession AND money if they weren't out by the Jan 1 date.. DO NOT use this attorney. She's incredibly unresponsive. When she doesn't show to her own cases she doesn't have people that stand in for her cases that will act as your attorney in terms of advising what the results actually were. She's been an absolute nightmare for me to get any answers from!

Fast!

We served the 5 day notice the same day we called her. 3 weeks later our court case was up, the tenants didn't show up, and we had a judgement against them. They were out in less than a month. We still call her to check out our new tenants to see if they've had previous evictions. Sometimes it takes ...her a few days to get back to you but she will call you back.

MAYBE THE WORST LAWYER IN CHICAGO

This lawyer is not worth your time, money or energy. She is unreliable does not return your phone calls, is always busy with "her twins" and does not finish the job. She makes multiple promises that she does not keep and at the end of the day does not deliver on what she is paid to do. I had to hire ...another lawyer to finish the case because she missed trial not once but twice. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT PAY HER.

For Her Price Shes Does What She Says!!

1st and foremost Lori does what she says she will do. For the price she charges you its up to you to do your homework and have all of your paperwork and facts that support your case. She knows the Law and how to file motions etc. Don't expect for what she charges for her to be at your beck and call. ...Otherwise dish out the $4K these other atty's ask for. She will show up as promised to court and will do her best for you and thats all you can ask. If you can support your case shes the woman to go to. All she needs to do is manage time for follow up phone calls etc. But again dont harass her just give her some time and then if she still doesnt respond kindly send her another e-mail. Lori helped win my wifes child support for rules to show cause and she did everything we asked of her. Thanks Lori!

Tazmanian Devil

I had Lori Quist to represent me on (3) eviction cases in Cook County. Quist charges $400, and collects from multiple clients. Quist runs all over the Daley center, from court room to court room. It is why she rarely makes an appearance for her clients. She must have been at the low percentile in he...r class, and it shows. Quist is impossible to get on the telephone, she tells you>>"im taking care of the twins, i cant talk right now. She is very unprofessional, unreliable. Quist is not agressive, and its obvious all she wants is as many payments of $400 as possible.
