A long-standing member of the Rotary Club of Schaumburg and Hoffman Estates, Allen has served as President, Secretary, Treasurer, a Director and Board Member. Allen is currently on the Board of Directors and is the Secretary of the Rotary Club of Schaumburg and Hoffman Estates Charitable Foundation and was named Rotarian of the Year for his Rotary Club. Allen is also on the Board of Directors of the Northwest Suburban Bar Association and is the attorney for Rotary District 6440.

A sought-after public speaker within the attorney community, Allen has presented at seminars for both the Chicago Bar Association and the Northwest Suburban Bar Association.

Allen received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications Arts Radio/TV Broadcasting from Michigan State University, and his Juris Doctor from The John Marshall Law School. He was honorably discharged as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corp.

Great to have in your corner

We closed on our house in June 2017, and Allen & Jill have been great throughout the entire process. Jill was attentive and on top of everything, and Allen took charge and made things right when our final walk through turned ugly. We couldn't be happier and it was the best money spent next to our cash to close costs.

Family Law

Allen is the second attorney I hired to handle family matters. My first attorney, although very nice, and very cheap, but .....As the saying goes "You get what pay for". Allen is confident, calm, VERY professional, able to defuse drama, able to recognize fact from fiction, and extremely knowledgeable in the area of family law. He and his office staff (Jennifer) are quick to respond to emails, answers to questions are in simple English and to the point, no fairy dust here. I will never use the cheapest attorney I can find again, I will stick with Allen to get the job done right the first time around.

So grateful for Allen Gabe

When I was facing my divorce, I was afraid and dreaded the entire process. I am so grateful I had Allen by my side. Long Divorce but good results!

When signing up I retained a different lawyer. She left the firm and Mr. Gabe took my case. What a pleasure it was to work with him. He was active and always responded to my emails or phone calls. (Even if it was to voice how upset I was that day). Mr. Gabe was also so professional and funny when needed. My divorce took almost 2 years but in the end, Mr. Gabe was on the look out of me every step of the way.

Counsel for divorce and registering my company as an LLC

Allen Gabe and his staff were always friendly and responsive to my questions and needs. I always felt that my best interests were being served. All fees, etc. for services rendered were also clearly explained in advance. In terms of my divorce, Allen did an excellent job of making certain that he understood my situation and desires in terms of finalizing my divorce. He provided great support step-by-step through the process. When it came to turning my company into an LLC he made sure I was working with one of his team who had the most experience in completing this process. Allen handled the sale of the home I owned with my son Jason and the transaction was handled professionally and conveniently. Jason and I were able to sign documents prior to the closing and because of our work schedules, Allen was able to conduct the closing without us attending. Best Attorney for Best Outcome

If you want the best outcome, get the best attorney. That's Allen Gabe. My friend and business colleague confided in me about how Allen handled his divorce and child custody issues with extraordinary skill and compassion. I had seen Allen at a good number of business functions such as Rotary and found him to always be so professional yet accessible. So when I found myself in an emergency situation requiring family law expertise, I Googled then called Allen -- from my car. He said, can you come in now? I said yes. We met for an hour, he emailed me a draft petition that night, and then the next morning -- Christmas Eve, no less -- he promptly met me at the Courthouse and efficiently handled my matter, easily navigating the various clerks, forms, windows, etc., also easing my nerves along the way. The matter continued and so did Allen's expert counsel. I trusted him from the start and my trust of Allen only grew from seeing him in action and how authentically caring he is. He was a master in court, read the judge from decades of experience, applied the statues protecting us, and was stealth when it came to cross-examining and presenting critical exhibits that allowed me to prevail in a maximum two-year order of protection for me and my children. It became clear the judge respects Allen and I was so fortunate to have him on my side. Unlike another attorney I engaged many years ago, Allen communicated just enough -- not too much to drive up fees but not so little that you're left wondering what's going on with your case. He also negotiated my interests very well with opposing counsel. He has earned to respect of his peers as well as the judges and clients. Allen's work is priceless. Overpriced

I was looking for an attorney with honesty, integrity, empathy, among other things, and I was sold on the initial consultation. I wish I was more vigilant in shopping around but I was going through a tough divorce and was extremely vulnerable. I felt I was taken advantage of as the unexpected charges and bills kept piling up. Although I was told in the beginning that making payments was okay, and I was making payments, I suddenly get a notice to come up with all the money in five days or he no longer will represent me. I don’t have that type of cash laying around, and I was left without representation in the middle of my divorce proceedings.

Expensive and Poor communication

Mr. Gabe sold me during the consultation in that he could and would be able to take over my family matter case. Upon hiring him I expressed my immediate concerns regarding parenting time and the need to address this with the opposing attorney, that never occured. In the span of 3 months I still do not know where my child resides nor was a schedule decided upon for parenting time. Secondly the charges discussed in the consult were not the actual charges I recieved. For example, I was charged for travel time to/from court plus parking to the tune of $700 in addition to his standard fee to appear in court totaling $1500 for just 1 appearance. There were also several other charges and the depletion of my retainer for "review" that never manifested itself into conversations with the apposing attorney, myself, or results. There was a lack of commuincation and I feel as though my concerns were not being heard and the service or lack there of reflects this. I understand the process can be long and dragged out but to be in the dark throughout, doesn't show professionalism or a care and concern for the outcome of my case. When I choose to seek new counsel he took it upon himself to use an additional $1200 of my retainer to formally withdraw unnecessarily as my new counsel had already filed her appearance. The lack of communication and unreasonable practices were consistent throughout the 3 months he represented me.
