I wanted to deal with an unpaid traffic citation from almost 20 years ago in another state, Illinois. I did receive a last minute request to submit a notarized document the day before court, but the lawyers involved were flexible with using photo proof of my fine payment online to the county (I sent a photo message to the lawyer). Just a bit ago, I received a PDF copy of the positive court results. I was initially pretty nervous about using an out of state attorney whom I never physically met plus handing out my credit card over the phone.
