How Ben can help you
As one of the few Elder Law attorneys in Illinois to also have a CPA, Ben brings a unique perspective and benefit to his clients as both a skilled estate planner, litigator and accountant.
Previously a senior associate in the Chicago office of the international law firm Baker & McKenzie, Mr. Neiburger left the executive compensation and employee benefits practice group to start his own law firm. Ben quickly became a recognized and respected attorney in the areas of Elder Law, Estate Planning and Medicaid Planning, which includes expertise in Special Needs Trusts and Tax Planning.
Mr. Neiburger is an active member of The National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) and regular participant and speaker for the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education (IICLE) while in continuous pursuit of knowledge and insight to the laws and finances that affect families and senior citizens.
After graduating from the University of Illinois with a degree in Finance, Mr. Neiburger added CPA to his name, received his law degree from IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law and passed the Illinois State Bar Exam. Ben was an Adjunct Professor of Law at Chicago-Kent for four years and a top regional instructor for the Becker CPA Review course. During his tenure at Baker & McKenzie, Ben was also chair of the Chicago Bar Association’s Employee Benefits Law Committee.
In addition to membership in the DuPage County Bar Association, Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce, Oak Park Senior Citizen’s Services Committee, and as a member of the Ray Graham Foundation Board of Directors, Mr. Neiburger is a frequent speaker and writer in his specialty areas of law.

"Ben is an excellent attorney and an easy person to work with. I had the chance to work with Ben on a case involving one of my personal injury clients who received a substantial settlement and required assistance with establishing a special needs trust. He and Amy Pokras (from his firm) were a great help in protecting my client's eligibility for critical government benefits."
"I have known been as a fellow attorney for several years. He has been a great resource for assisting in various legal matters, and has always been willing to help. Ben is quite pleasant to deal with, knowlegable and does not exhibit selfishness in assisting others."
