Jonathan Nye & his associates have been advising our psychology practice for years. His feedback & guidance have been valuable in supporting our growth & development. He has assisted with contracts, staff consultations, ethics questions and negotiations. Jonathan & his assistant Ryan are always responsive & thorough in their followup. I make it a point to go see them in person every year. I would highly recommend this practice.
Jonathan has been an incredible resource to me as a mental health professional in private practice. I cannot say enough good things about how available and helpful Jonathan has been to me on legal issues regarding Illinois mental health. Jonathan is easily accessible on his consultation line to talk through cases, to share feedback on Illinois law and to direct me in a way that helps my clients and protects my practice at the same time. I am thankful to have an attorney available through a legal consultation line because it helps me to feel confident about maintaining a highly ethical practice that abides by Illinois mental health laws.

First Client
I was Jonathan Nye's first client out of Law School. His mother was recommended to me to handle a guardianship matter, Jonathan actually handled my case, I'm still a satisfied client 23 years later.

Best Experience with an Attorney in Chicago
Jonathan Nye is my attorney, and I am lucky to have such a dedicated, knowledgeable professional who answers complicated questions and who is eager to assist me and my clinical practice whenever the occasion arises. Over the past three years, I signed up for Nye and Associates' telephone consultation service, which enables me to ask legal questions throughout the year for a nominal fee.
Whenever I have called the office or left a message for Jonathan, he has responded within the hour, which is something that I have NEVER experienced with any other attorney. He is thoughtful and creative with his responses and recommendations and takes the time necessary to explain the law as it pertains to each situation. As a clinical psychologist, I feel comfortable knowing that all of legal matters are being taken care of by one of the best in the field.

Divorce / Custody
Jonathan and his team are consummate professionals. Great communications between Jonathan and I. Handling these types of cases are so emotionally charged, but Jonathan kept me focused on the main issues and he moved my case forward through the process seamlessly and with great integrity.

The Best Custody Lawyer I Know!
The process for a turnover of custody is a long detailed process. Jonathan and his staff worked with me countless hours and in the end his results far exceeded my expectations. I now have residential custody of my son, and I couldn’t be happier. I endorse Jonathan 100% and if anyone would like to contact me for my personal reference please do so.

Terrible mental health lawyer
I hired Mr. Nye to help me manage a subpoena for a deposition and ultimately needed to fire him. Mr. Nye spent every interaction that I had with him lecturing me and accusing me of writing things that were categorically untrue. Rather than gently guiding me through the deposition process, Mr. Nye made me question whether he was actually representing me or colluding with the counsel who subpoenaed me. He behaviors stressed me out so much that he made me feel physically ill.
Mr. Nye is either deeply incompetent or deviously manipulative. My $400 initial consultation with him consisted of a 10 minute discussion of my case and a 50 minute sales job about his consultation services, in which he also included more lectures and false accusations. Mental health practitioners should be cautious about hiring Mr. Nye to represent them.

Avoid Jonathan Nye!!!!!!
I have never written a complaint before on any board or forum, but was so disappointed by my experience with Jonathon Nye, that I felt I needed to let others know about it. Jonathon Nye is Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde. He started off nice until I asked ONE question about why my fee DOUBLED. When money is discussed, he turns on you like a pit-bull and cancelled by appointment without reason or explanation. I am to blame too because I used his firm before and his team made numerous mistakes and when asked to fix them, many of the same errors remained, costing me time aggravation, and many thousands of dollars which resulted in NIL!!!! Upon further research with other therapists I know that use Nye Law Group, more than 75% fired him for similar reasons. The worst part is he and his team are rude and extremely unprofessional.

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde
I have never written a complaint before on any board or forum, but was so disappointed by my experience with Jonathon Nye, that I felt I needed to let others know about it. Jonathon Nye was Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde. He started off nice until he learned my divorce would be uncontested. When money was discussed he turned on me like a pit-bull, and I felt vulnerable & bullied. His paralegal made numerous mistakes on my documents and when asked to fix them, many of the same errors remained. She even inadvertently copied and pasted info. from another clients file onto mine. This cost me time, money and aggravation. After over one year, I fired him and finished the case on my own. At this point, I also leaned he had never even filed my case. 3 of 4 people I know that used him also fired him for similar reasons. The worst part of my divorce was the mistake to use him as my attorney. He was unavailable, rude and extremely unprofessional.

Relationship: Worked together on matter
"I have known Jonathan longer that I can remember. I have also worked with him on numerous cases. He always returns calls and explains things in plain English to my clients. In my opinion, he is a fantastic lawyer."

Relationship: Worked together on matter
"I highly endorse this lawyer. Jonathan has the highest levels of integrity and knowledge in the area of domestic relations. While I hope it will never be necessary, I would be pleased if Jon represented either my wife, my children or me because I know he would obtain the right result in the most expeditious manner."
