Honest hardworking lawyer that listens and gets the job done.

My divorce took 3 years, 15 months each with two other worthless money charging do nothing lawyers that couldnt get nothing done. I hired michael and he took control and communicated with the other lawyer and forced their hand to final the case. Michael always calls or emails back. The best part i ...appreciated was his ethics and when in front of judge and your ex, he new case law and didnt back down and forced things to happen. I was very impressed with the progress and how much he listened and new my case vs the past two unorganized lawyers. Wish i used michael in first place and saved thousands.

Professional and Ethical

I first hired an attorney out of big office in Dundee, IL that placed his feet on his desk during our first meeting. At that moment I should have known that he didn’t have my best interest in mind. After several mistakes were made by the now disbarred attorney, I quickly searched for a new attorney.... Mike Chapski came highly recommended through my brother. My brother has had personal and professional experiences with Mike. Throughout my divorce process, which lasted 16 months, Mike has always remained professional as well as personable while understanding family matters and confidentiality. His professionalism is well respected not only by his clients, peers, but the judges respect him as well. He is ultra-organized and immaculate about his work and it is always completed in a timely manner. Mike Chapski also assisted me with a custody evaluation conducted in 2011-2012. I was awarded sole custody with his assistance in 2012. Throughout the process, Mike was very helpful guiding me through the exasperating and stressful evaluation process as well as aligning the proper paper work to keep the process moving. For some odd reason the opposing side would forget about required paperwork due on scheduled court dates. Mike was always on time for court and had what was asked of us or him on the scheduled dates. This was very important to me because I, and like others, cannot afford mistakes. Mike assisted me by answering detailed questions promptly via email or by phone even though he was out of the office or even on vacation! He has always been polite, yet firm in court while in front of the judge. The reason I would recommend Mike to another individual is because of his high code of business ethics and he truly sees what the judge would probably see in any case or legal matter.

An outstanding attorney

Mike was my second lawyer in my 13 month divorce process that involved my 3 children, and he was my attorney for the final 11 months of my divorce. I should have gone with him first. Mike answered all of my questions I had about the divorce process quickly and directly. Many of my calls and emails... were replied to the same day, if not within an hour or two. There were also times he would respond back on weekends or while he was at the courthouse. Mike did an excellent job of keeping me in the loop, and making sure my process continued to move forward, despite having to work with a stubborn opposing attorney. Unlike my first attorney, Mike didnâ€™t send out any type of correspondence to the opposing side without my prior approval, and I felt that we were consistently in synch on strategy and process. Working with Mike, I felt that I had control over my case, and he would ask me how I would like to proceed when given different options. Mike did an excellent job of explaining where things stood, and the next steps along the way. I highly recommend Michael Chapski for anyone unfortunate enough to find themselves going through a divorce. If I should find myself needing any post-divorce legal assistance, I would not hesitate to retain his services again.

I've worked with Michael for approximately four years, the duration not of his doing but rather the strategy we chose to employ in my case. Michael is very knowledgeable and consistently made me aware of all my options, both the good and the bad. He is incredibly responsive to both phone calls, e-mai...l and office visits. In a couple of urgenct instances, Michael contacted me after hours with his mobile phone. Michael is personable and professional. He is totally committed to the plan we laid out and supportive of me throughout the process. Michael has a quiet approach with opposing counsel yet is a very strong advocate of me. He does not get taken advantage of. I have worked with a multitude of attorneys both personally and professionally and I endorse Michael as top notch because of his combination of knowledge, personality and effectiveness.

True professional

I had a great experience with Mr Chapski. My case went through 4 Judges, 4 law firms and two GAL's. Before hiring Mr. Chapski, my case was going in circles and nothing was being settled; it was nothing but a he said, she said case. Mr. Chapski is a true pro and was instramental in turning my case ar...ound. He doesn't take things personally and he was the only attorney to keep everyone on the same page. I work with top CEO's on a regular basis who work at the biggest companies in world and I would put Mr. Chapski's ethics and morals at the top of most of the biggest business leaders I have worked with. I was lucky to have Mr. Chapski representing me. His ability to get two parties to settle who were not even close after several years in and out of court, is truly remarkable. Mr. Chapski ability to get both sides to calm down and focus on the end game was amazing. He did a great job at focusing on the true issues not the minor issues to settle my case. He could have pushed this case out another year or two but he did not. He was very concerned over the fees I was paying. I have met two attorneys who put the client's first: Jeff Rifken and Mike Chapski. I would highly recommend Mr. Chapski. He is knowledgeable, extremely thorough, thinks outside the box, is very responsive and has his client's best interests in mind. He helped me to get through a very difficult time with compassion and sensitivity.
