A FANTASTIC attorney

I can't begin to state enough positive things about Mike. My divorce was extremely contentious. My ex-wife lost her custodial parenting rights. She was not even awarded court supervised visits with my children. My ex went through three attorneys, while Mike continued to be a stabilizing influence..., advocate and voice of reason through the most difficult time in my life. Mike immediately responded to calls, messages and even texts. He was very open, honest and did not present false, or unlikely outcomes. Quite honestly, Mike is very much a person who over delivers. We had a terrible Guardian ad litem assigned to my divorce. The GAL was absolutely determined to have the kids remain with their mother, even though she was the perpetrator of unspeakable child abuse. Mike managed this issue in a wonderful manner, assured the kids were well protected and that I was well represented. Mike's rates are fair. There is absolutely no over billing. I highly recommend Mike! Also, the staff at Chapski Law was always kind and very responsive. All very good people to work with!

Highly Recommend - Reliable!

I hired Mr. Chapski in April of 2012 for my divorce. He was extremely knowledgeable and caring of my feelings during an emotional time. He was considerate of my budget and wasted no time. He fought for everything I deserved and then some and, in the end, prevailed. He did not drag out the process... either. What makes Michael Chapski an exceptional attorney is that he was there for me even AFTER my divorce as well. Things with my ex post divorce got really ugly and at one point dangerous. I called Mr. Chapski for an urgent matter involving the safety of my child and he did not hesitate to speak to me immediately and after hearing my situation he jumped into action and was able to get us in front of a judge quickly and with his expertise and knowledge, my child is safe. I have had to turn to Mr. Chapski repeatedly over the past 6 years pertaining to post decree issues and Mr. Chapski has never failed me. Always prompt to return calls and emails and willing to give wonderful advice. I have recommended several friends and coworkers and they too speak highly of his abilities and professionalism. I know that if I ever need Mr. Chapski's advice or services I can call or email him, and he will respond with no hesitation. You cannot go wrong with Mr. Chapski!!! He and his firm are HIGHLY respected within the Kane County Judicial system as I have heard straight from judges themselves how they respect the Chapski firm.

So nice and understanding

I just met Mr. Chapski today. I went to this meeting for custody of my son nervous and not knowing how it would go. He was so professional and caring. He made me feel like I have known him for years. I would recommend him forever. Afterwards I did some reaserch on him. What an honor it is to have him... represent my son in court. I couldn't have picked anyone better.

Top-Notch Attorney with High Morals and Ethics!

Michael Chapski represented me over the last several years in dealing with the aftermath of a very ugly divorce. It was very complicated, with many moving parts. Not only did Mr. Chapski tenaciously stay on top of every detail, he assisted in bringing to light some very damaging evidence against my e...x-wife that ultimately aided in getting a settlement overwhelmingly in my favor. Most importantly, the settlement protects my children. I am happy to say that my kids well-being and financial future are now protected, thanks to Mr. Chapski’s hard work. He not only focused on winning the issues in the case in the short-term, but creating an agreement that would be in the best interest of my children in the long-term. It was a proactive approach to dealing with potential situations that could arise in the future with my ex in regards to our children. The terms of the settlement agreement will also hopefully eliminate any future court appearances. As are most post-divorce issues involving children, they are fused with much drama and emotion. Michael is excellent at keeping the facts the focus but at the same time realizing the sensitivity around some subjects. A few things to highlight: 1 – Mr. Chapski’s billing was extremely fair and accurate. 2 – He was very attentive to my needs with a prompt return of phone calls and e-mails 3 – There was always very thorough preparation/attention to detail 4 – He had a complete knowledge and understanding of the moving parts of our case – a case with 10 years of back-history 5 - He was tenacious in crafting an acceptable settlement that would protect my children 6 – He ALWAYS kept the best interests of my children at the forefront 7 – He has a great deal of integrity and a strong moral and ethical compass

Professional and Ethical

I first hired an attorney out of big office in Dundee, IL that placed his feet on his desk during our first meeting. At that moment I should have known that he didn’t have my best interest in mind. After several mistakes were made by the now disbarred attorney, I quickly searched for a new attorney.... Mike Chapski came highly recommended through my brother. My brother has had personal and professional experiences with Mike. Throughout my divorce process, which lasted 16 months, Mike has always remained professional as well as personable while understanding family matters and confidentiality. His professionalism is well respected not only by his clients, peers, but the judges respect him as well. He is ultra-organized and immaculate about his work and it is always completed in a timely manner. Mike Chapski also assisted me with a custody evaluation conducted in 2011-2012. I was awarded sole custody with his assistance in 2012. Throughout the process, Mike was very helpful guiding me through the exasperating and stressful evaluation process as well as aligning the proper paper work to keep the process moving. For some odd reason the opposing side would forget about required paperwork due on scheduled court dates. Mike was always on time for court and had what was asked of us or him on the scheduled dates. This was very important to me because I, and like others, cannot afford mistakes. Mike assisted me by answering detailed questions promptly via email or by phone even though he was out of the office or even on vacation! He has always been polite, yet firm in court while in front of the judge. The reason I would recommend Mike to another individual is because of his high code of business ethics and he truly sees what the judge would probably see in any case or legal matter.
