A FANTASTIC attorney

I can't begin to state enough positive things about Mike. My divorce was extremely contentious. My ex-wife lost her custodial parenting rights. She was not even awarded court supervised visits with my children. My ex went through three attorneys, while Mike continued to be a stabilizing influence..., advocate and voice of reason through the most difficult time in my life. Mike immediately responded to calls, messages and even texts. He was very open, honest and did not present false, or unlikely outcomes. Quite honestly, Mike is very much a person who over delivers. We had a terrible Guardian ad litem assigned to my divorce. The GAL was absolutely determined to have the kids remain with their mother, even though she was the perpetrator of unspeakable child abuse. Mike managed this issue in a wonderful manner, assured the kids were well protected and that I was well represented. Mike's rates are fair. There is absolutely no over billing. I highly recommend Mike! Also, the staff at Chapski Law was always kind and very responsive. All very good people to work with!

Knowledgeable and Supportive

I divorced at the end of 2018 and Michael was nothing short of amazing throughout the whole process. Overall the proceedings were amicable but there were times when emotions began to stall moving forward. Micheal remained steady and calm throughout and guided me toward the best decisions for myself a...nd for my children. He was also great at managing my expectations on the likely outcome of our case. Ultimately we divorced before the end of the year, six months after I had filed. Since then, I have reached out a few times for questions on the execution of the dissolution of marriage. He is always so quick to respond and he is still very invested in making sure I understand his responses to each question. He is a genuine and caring person and it shows in the way he carries himself and in how he represents his clients. I would highly recommend him for anyone seeking advice or to hire a family/divorce attorney.

Divorce / Rehabilitative Maintenence Review of Mike Chapski

As a client, I experienced working directly with Mike Chapski and his staff for an initial divorce agreement and then a maintenance review case. In addition to understanding the emotional stress accompanying such an event, Mike's communication and follow-up (via phone calls and emails) to keep me ...up-to-date was superb. He provided me with realistic expectations prior to the initial settlement agreement and again later at a review hearing. Mike demonstrated complete understanding of my personal case facts and extensive timeline of events during a cross examination court hearing event which led to the vital facts of my case coming out and our position being supported by the Judge. During the hearing, Mike's professionalism and the mutual respect to and from the Judge was obvious, compared to my ex's counsel who wanted to argue with the Judge. Regarding the final arguments from counsel, Mike diligently followed the Judge's requests and provided a clear, well-written, and case-law supported final document. Efficient and Professional

Michael Chapski is a superb attorney. I had hired another attorney to handle my divorce and things were not going well. There was a lot at stake in my divorce and there were some unusual circumstances, including my being located in a different state. Michael was recommended to me and I called him for... a consultation. I shared with him my circumstances and what had happened in the divorce so far. His knowledge of the law and how it would affect my circumstances was excellent. He took over my case and did a fantastic job. He fought for me, something the first attorney was not doing. My divorce had gone on for over a year with no end in sight when I hired him, and Michael got a settlement for me within a matter of weeks. His professionalism, intelligence, knowledge of the law, integrity, and trustworthiness was outstanding. He commands respect from everyone when he enters the room and he does not back down. Yet everything that he does is totally honest and ethical. He knows good strategy and lines of communication between he and I were always open. I received a very fair settlement thanks to Michael. I cannot express enough appreciation to him for the excellent job that he did for me. Michael and his staff are the best in the Chicagoland area and I highly recommend him.

Honest hardworking lawyer that listens and gets the job done.

My divorce took 3 years, 15 months each with two other worthless money charging do nothing lawyers that couldnt get nothing done. I hired michael and he took control and communicated with the other lawyer and forced their hand to final the case. Michael always calls or emails back. The best part i ...appreciated was his ethics and when in front of judge and your ex, he new case law and didnt back down and forced things to happen. I was very impressed with the progress and how much he listened and new my case vs the past two unorganized lawyers. Wish i used michael in first place and saved thousands.
