Knowledgeable and Supportive

I divorced at the end of 2018 and Michael was nothing short of amazing throughout the whole process. Overall the proceedings were amicable but there were times when emotions began to stall moving forward. Micheal remained steady and calm throughout and guided me toward the best decisions for myself a...nd for my children. He was also great at managing my expectations on the likely outcome of our case. Ultimately we divorced before the end of the year, six months after I had filed. Since then, I have reached out a few times for questions on the execution of the dissolution of marriage. He is always so quick to respond and he is still very invested in making sure I understand his responses to each question. He is a genuine and caring person and it shows in the way he carries himself and in how he represents his clients. I would highly recommend him for anyone seeking advice or to hire a family/divorce attorney.

Highly Recommend - Reliable!

I hired Mr. Chapski in April of 2012 for my divorce. He was extremely knowledgeable and caring of my feelings during an emotional time. He was considerate of my budget and wasted no time. He fought for everything I deserved and then some and, in the end, prevailed. He did not drag out the process... either. What makes Michael Chapski an exceptional attorney is that he was there for me even AFTER my divorce as well. Things with my ex post divorce got really ugly and at one point dangerous. I called Mr. Chapski for an urgent matter involving the safety of my child and he did not hesitate to speak to me immediately and after hearing my situation he jumped into action and was able to get us in front of a judge quickly and with his expertise and knowledge, my child is safe. I have had to turn to Mr. Chapski repeatedly over the past 6 years pertaining to post decree issues and Mr. Chapski has never failed me. Always prompt to return calls and emails and willing to give wonderful advice. I have recommended several friends and coworkers and they too speak highly of his abilities and professionalism. I know that if I ever need Mr. Chapski's advice or services I can call or email him, and he will respond with no hesitation. You cannot go wrong with Mr. Chapski!!! He and his firm are HIGHLY respected within the Kane County Judicial system as I have heard straight from judges themselves how they respect the Chapski firm.

Highly Recommended

Mr. Chapski represented my wife in 2017 for petitions brought about by her ex-husband stemming from an original divorce in 2003. Mike was extremely thorough with respect to going through all of the history so that he understood where she had been with the Respondent, where she was now and where sh...e ultimately wanted to go with bringing about resolution. The really impressive thing about Mike is his ability to be passionate about his clients needs without letting passion dictate how the proceedings are going to take place. He's calm, cool, collected...and most importantly, factual. In the end, my wife was able to get the desired result behind Mr. Chapski's hard work and dedication to her case. Thanks again.

Divorce / Rehabilitative Maintenence Review of Mike Chapski

As a client, I experienced working directly with Mike Chapski and his staff for an initial divorce agreement and then a maintenance review case. In addition to understanding the emotional stress accompanying such an event, Mike's communication and follow-up (via phone calls and emails) to keep me ...up-to-date was superb. He provided me with realistic expectations prior to the initial settlement agreement and again later at a review hearing. Mike demonstrated complete understanding of my personal case facts and extensive timeline of events during a cross examination court hearing event which led to the vital facts of my case coming out and our position being supported by the Judge. During the hearing, Mike's professionalism and the mutual respect to and from the Judge was obvious, compared to my ex's counsel who wanted to argue with the Judge. Regarding the final arguments from counsel, Mike diligently followed the Judge's requests and provided a clear, well-written, and case-law supported final document. True professional

I had a great experience with Mr Chapski. My case went through 4 Judges, 4 law firms and two GAL's. Before hiring Mr. Chapski, my case was going in circles and nothing was being settled; it was nothing but a he said, she said case. Mr. Chapski is a true pro and was instramental in turning my case ar...ound. He doesn't take things personally and he was the only attorney to keep everyone on the same page. I work with top CEO's on a regular basis who work at the biggest companies in world and I would put Mr. Chapski's ethics and morals at the top of most of the biggest business leaders I have worked with. I was lucky to have Mr. Chapski representing me. His ability to get two parties to settle who were not even close after several years in and out of court, is truly remarkable. Mr. Chapski ability to get both sides to calm down and focus on the end game was amazing. He did a great job at focusing on the true issues not the minor issues to settle my case. He could have pushed this case out another year or two but he did not. He was very concerned over the fees I was paying. I have met two attorneys who put the client's first: Jeff Rifken and Mike Chapski. I would highly recommend Mr. Chapski. He is knowledgeable, extremely thorough, thinks outside the box, is very responsive and has his client's best interests in mind.
