Divorce / Rehabilitative Maintenence Review of Mike Chapski

As a client, I experienced working directly with Mike Chapski and his staff for an initial divorce agreement and then a maintenance review case. In addition to understanding the emotional stress accompanying such an event, Mike's communication and follow-up (via phone calls and emails) to keep me ...up-to-date was superb. He provided me with realistic expectations prior to the initial settlement agreement and again later at a review hearing. Mike demonstrated complete understanding of my personal case facts and extensive timeline of events during a cross examination court hearing event which led to the vital facts of my case coming out and our position being supported by the Judge. During the hearing, Mike's professionalism and the mutual respect to and from the Judge was obvious, compared to my ex's counsel who wanted to argue with the Judge. Regarding the final arguments from counsel, Mike diligently followed the Judge's requests and provided a clear, well-written, and case-law supported final document. I strongly recommend Michael Chapski's services for anyone seeking advice with Divorce and Separation.

Efficient and Professional

Michael Chapski is a superb attorney. I had hired another attorney to handle my divorce and things were not going well. There was a lot at stake in my divorce and there were some unusual circumstances, including my being located in a different state. Michael was recommended to me and I called him for... a consultation. I shared with him my circumstances and what had happened in the divorce so far. His knowledge of the law and how it would affect my circumstances was excellent. He took over my case and did a fantastic job. He fought for me, something the first attorney was not doing. My divorce had gone on for over a year with no end in sight when I hired him, and Michael got a settlement for me within a matter of weeks. His professionalism, intelligence, knowledge of the law, integrity, and trustworthiness was outstanding. He commands respect from everyone when he enters the room and he does not back down. Yet everything that he does is totally honest and ethical. He knows good strategy and lines of communication between he and I were always open. I received a very fair settlement thanks to Michael. I cannot express enough appreciation to him for the excellent job that he did for me. Michael and his staff are the best in the Chicagoland area and I highly recommend him.

Honest hardworking lawyer that listens and gets the job done.

My divorce took 3 years, 15 months each with two other worthless money charging do nothing lawyers that couldnt get nothing done. I hired michael and he took control and communicated with the other lawyer and forced their hand to final the case. Michael always calls or emails back. The best part i ...appreciated was his ethics and when in front of judge and your ex, he new case law and didnt back down and forced things to happen. I was very impressed with the progress and how much he listened and new my case vs the past two unorganized lawyers. Wish i used michael in first place and saved thousands.

An outstanding attorney

Mike was my second lawyer in my 13 month divorce process that involved my 3 children, and he was my attorney for the final 11 months of my divorce. I should have gone with him first. Mike answered all of my questions I had about the divorce process quickly and directly. Many of my calls and emails... were replied to the same day, if not within an hour or two. There were also times he would respond back on weekends or while he was at the courthouse. Mike did an excellent job of keeping me in the loop, and making sure my process continued to move forward, despite having to work with a stubborn opposing attorney. Unlike my first attorney, Mike didnâ€™t send out any type of correspondence to the opposing side without my prior approval, and I felt that we were consistently in synch on strategy and process. Working with Mike, I felt that I had control over my case, and he would ask me how I would like to proceed when given different options. Mike did an excellent job of explaining where things stood, and the next steps along the way. I highly recommend Michael Chapski for anyone unfortunate enough to find themselves going through a divorce. If I should find myself needing any post-divorce legal assistance, I would not hesitate to retain his services again.

I've worked with Michael for approximately four years, the duration not of his doing but rather the strategy we chose to employ in my case. Michael is very knowledgeable and consistently made me aware of all my options, both the good and the bad. He is incredibly responsive to both phone calls, e-mai...l and office visits. In a couple of urgenct instances, Michael contacted me after hours with his mobile phone. Michael is personable and professional. He is totally committed to the plan we laid out and supportive of me throughout the process. Michael has a quiet approach with opposing counsel yet is a very strong advocate of me. He does not get taken advantage of. I have worked with a multitude of attorneys both personally and professionally and I endorse Michael as top notch because of his combination of knowledge, personality and effectiveness.
