Justin M. Hastings

I would not recommend attorney Justin Hastings. His billing was vague, inconsistent, and included charges that were not tied to meaningful progress in my case. When I disputed them, he inflated the total further by trying to add on “court costs.” Even the judge struck some of his charges as unsupport...ed. Communication and follow-through were poor, and important requests I made for my case were ignored. If you’re considering hiring him, demand detailed logs up front and compare carefully with other attorneys before making a decision.

Justin has served us in purchasing our hime, as well as managing my late mother’s estate. In both cases he was extremely responsive with any questions we had which gave us great peace of mind. He helped us navigate two stressful circumstances with great knowledge and competence. We strongly recommend... Justin for any and all legal services one may be seeking.

I encountered a situation that required legal assistance, and I reached out to Mr Hastings in an effort to facilitate resolution. Literally left a message at his office in the morning and received a return call later that day. He and I were able to navigate whatever legal obstacles I was struggling... with and solved while on the phone together. I was personally very appreciative, and would obviously offer a recommendation to enlist Justin for Legal council. Let me first start out by saying I had talked to a couple different lawyers before learning about Mr. Hastings. Seems as if some lawyers just didn't really care to sit and listen to the plights of their potential clients. I was recommended to Justin by a friend who had previously worked for the pra...ctice, as well as seeing his name posted by someone else on social media. I walked into his office for the first time and he sat there and listened to me for much longer than any other lawyer I have dealt with in the past. I didn't feel rushed or pressured to retain him at any point in the initial consultation. It was his personality, genuine concern and demeanor that made me retain him. Throughout the duration of my divorce case, he was always courteous, sympathetic, and seemed to actually care. He advised me on what fights to fight and which ones just to let go. If I had a concern, he was always a phone call/email away and answered in a timely manner. I also dealt with other attorneys from his office and the entire staff is amazing. Thank you for making my nightmare divorce a bit more bearable.

After 12 years of marriage, my wife and I decided to commit to a divorce. It was something that we had spoken about off/on for the past few years and now it was time to take action. We were lucky - there wasn't any animosity, infidelity, financial, drug, gambling or other classic issues that lead to ...a divorce. Nor did we have kids that would be "caught in the crossfire" of a nasty divorce. We are excellent friends and are supportive of each others goals and dreams, but just not that thrilled with being married to each other! But enough about that, you want to read our review of Justin Hastings. I found Justin through our employee assistance program. A phone consultation was set-up and Justin promptly called at the appointed time. Right away Justin put me at ease; He speaks in Plain English and will explain the "Legalese" if he inflicts it on you. I was comfortable with him from the start and after he spoke to my wife, she felt the same way. The decision to meet with him in person for a joint consultation was an easy process - we found an agreeable time and met at his office. He made us feel comfortable right away. His personable demeanor is genuine and actually had a calming effect on us. Over the next hour he explained the steps we would take together (and by that I mean the three of us - he is "boots on the ground" with you on this) to achieve a smooth and easy divorce. Obviously, we choose him as our Divorce Lawyer. He kept us apprised of updates and when our hearing was actually moved up a month (!) Justin went into action to notify us asap so we could arrange to have the morning off. After the divorce he walked my wife and I to other areas of the courthouse to complete forms for name changes, etc... never rushing us or making things stressful. He was calm and confident during the entire hearing and appeared to have a excellent rapport with the judge handling our case. If you are planning a divorce, or perhaps need legal consultation for another issue, I suggest meeting with Justin and consider hiring him as your attorney. I will definitely be utilizing him in the future for my will and power of attorney. Years ago I had wonderful lawyer who was unfortunately killed in an auto accident. I've had to use several other lawyers for (fill-in-the-blanks) and all were unremarkable. Capable, but often slow as molasses or unresponsive to phone calls, etc. Justin's personality is reminiscent of the attorney I lost years ago. He just has that endangered midwestern common sense and near extinct roll-up-your-sleeves and get it done work ethic that is so rare now days. If your going to court, it's a smart move to have Justin with you!
