Carmen Migdalia Quinones

I was referred to Carmen Quinones to assist with a court order for child support. Carmen Quinones presented a retainer agreement in which she asked me to pay her 2,500 dollars in cash as stated in the retainer agreement. I paid her 2,500$ cash, picked up the retainer agreement which she stated was th...e receipt. Carmen offered to extend my court date due to working mandatory overtime at my job, but then there was no response and court date stayed for original date of 9/9/2019. I called her and texted her on the court date at 9am when I arrived to court. However, Carmen did not show up, she returned my call around 11amand said she would return my call in an hour, I tried to tell her I was in court but she hung up. She only returned my call a week later and told me we had court in October. I let her know that everything was settled on 9/19/2019 and there was no follow up court date. I asked her for a refund of my (2,500$) retainer since she did not show up for court and she just hung up and has not returned my call since. I have called her multiple times, no answer. I call her office and talk to her secretary and all she does is ask for my name and number, and will not address my concerns. This has gone on for three months. She has kept my $2,500 and did absolutely nothing for me.

I paid Carmen 2500 upfront to file a motion for visitation. She said the motion would be filed in less then a week. Well 1 month went by and still no motion. I called and called. Left repeated messages. No phone call back. Finally I snapped on her secretary and threatened to contact the Illinois bar ...association. This lady is completely ridiculous and inept. Dragged the case along for months and months. Ended up costing more the 5500.00. Oh and she charged me for a visit to her office, cancelled while I was on my way to her, then I received a bill for the visit. Thanks Carmen.

Don't know how she was brought into my case, I know she had made notices of filings filed, on my behalf, Which I believe is false. I truly believe she never did, or if she did it was not in the best interest for me, cause of her appearance along with the other Quinones and Don appearance, in which ...they had answered a complaint on my behalf, or so they say, I was never even informed or new about amended complaint, I have suffered a great lost and no hope of winning my case, I never spoke or seen there face. But looking upon the other reviews from other clients, she and the other attorney should be disbarred, and charges brought up for misrepresentation

I went to court for something that could’ve been resolved in 2 months at the most. It’s been over 10 months, and she still can’t finalize my situation. She never keeps you up to date on anything. You constantly have to call her to check on your status. She makes you come in her office for basically n...othing. She cancelled on me twice and then overbooked me when she rescheduled me so I had to wait to be seen and she’s not close to where I live. Do not recommend. Please do not waste your money on hiring her!

Carmen Quinones is awful. She is the worst child reps that you can ever have. she isn't dependable, she never returns yours call and when she does its weeks and weeks later. she lies in your face and when she is in court she tells a totally different story. I lost custody of my grandson because o...f her lies and now he is being neglected by the dad. she is SO USLESS NEVER USE THIS LADY EVER. PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW I WOULD NOT LIE TO YOU
