Marjorie Irene Sher

Marjorie Sher is an amazing attorney. I wish I could give her more than 5 stars. Like most people, I had very little understanding of the legal processes involved in settling child support and visitation issues. She helped me understand what information was useful and what was irrelevant. I did...n’t end up wasting time (and racking up fees) on discussing things that would have no impact on my case. I was better able to focus on what I wanted / needed for my child in the future. Each court date, I went in with realistic expectations of what would occur. Unfortunately, my ex-husband is choosing to disregard the court orders. I will definitely be contacting Ms. Sher when I am ready to go back to court. She is that good.

Marjorie is professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly thorough as an attorney. She accomplished more in our custody case in six months than our prior attorney managed to in six years. My husband and I hired Marjorie for a post decree college motion after 15 YEARS in the Lake County court system with his ex. We came to her after finding out a judgment had been made against my husband in a case we weren't properly noticed on. Marjorie thought getting the order vacated was a long s...hot initially but after her detailed review of the file she was able to present conclusive evidence that we had not been properly noticed and got the order vacated. Marjorie then represented us on the refiled motion regarding college contribution. She was completely on top of the details of our case every step of the way. Marjorie also set reasonable expectations and was able to negotiate on our behalf without emotions getting out of control by any of the parties. I would strongly recommend Marjorie. I am familiar with many of the Lake County family law attorneys and can't say good things about too many of the others. Divorce is a tough life journey for all involved and I think Marjorie did a great job of focusing on the facts of the case and and achieving the best outcome possible for us.
