Finally, a lawyer who cares and delivers results!

David has represented me for almost 5 years in post-decree divorce matters, and we have faced just about every allegation you can imagine involving Child Support, Custody & Visitation. I have been divorced for almost 10 years and have 3 minor children. Over the years I have had several different at...torneys and have found David to be the best! He is extremely smart and efficient and he knows the law and can think on his feet. He has great relationships with the people you need on your side and is definitely respected by the Judges. I would highly recommend him to anyone who has issues in Family Court. He is fair, honest, capable and knows how to get things done. He isn't the cheapest solution available but he's not the most expensive either - you definitely get a good bang for your buck. His support staff is also very capable and smart which makes a bigger difference than you might realize. I don't know how I would have gotten through the last 5 years without David. He really is a trusted adviser and the peace of mind from knowing that you're in good hands and that he will be there when you really need him is invaluable!

Former Client

David DelRe recently handled my divorce. Since the first time I meet him I had confidence on him. He clearly explained all the possible outcomes of my case to me beforehand. He has an excellent team who kept me informed constantly. In my opinion, he did an excellent job as my lawyer. I would defin...itely recommend Mr. DelRe.

Experienced and knowledgeable with realistic expectations provided to client

If you are realistic and want a brutally honest assessment of your expectations in your divorce, make an appointment to see David. He is very experienced, knowledgeable in the matters of family law and is equally comfortable in the ways of the Lake County court system. He represented me quite skil...lfully at my divorce trial and did so at a very fair price. Importantly, he was always up front about what he could or couldn't get for me. He could have charged more money but billed me less out of concern for me. When has your lawyer done that for you? You can go ahead and hire a high priced divorce specialist and think you'll get everything you want ( because you won't ) or you can hire a pragmatic negotiator who gets an unpleasant job done in the most cost efficient manner possible. I highly recommend this attorney

Best lawyer at reasonable rate and dedicated to clients success

Mr Del Re recently successfully represented me in an order of protection hearing. (As a male the odds of one succeeding in this kind of case are about 20%). He did a great job through skillful questioning and cross examination. You have to trust him when he says he knows his business because he do...es. He runs a high volume practice, so his level of expertise regarding domestic violence, divorce and family law matters is one that few peers can match. I believe he is dedicated to his client, begins most workdays in his office by 5:30 AM. If you don't need handholding he would be my first choice. I'll use him again without hesitation.

Beware, stay away from this attorney

As stated in a previous review, if negative stars were available, the would apply to David Del Re. After discussing my divorce case with David, and explaining in detail the single specific financial detail that my wife and I were in disagreement about, I hired David based on his suggestions that I h...ad a case. That was were his involvement with my case ended, as he didn't respond to emails, questions, and did nothing to actually look at his notes, understand the very simple point of disagreement with my case, and prepare for my pretrial. At pretrial, David was the only one who had no idea about what my actual dispute was with my wife, and it was a complete and total embarrassment. Instead of admitting that he didn't understand my case, and spent zero time reviewing, David accused me of lying to him and the court, which is completely and utterly ridiculousness. This experience was a complete waste of money and time and I strongly recommend you stay far away from David Del Re and his firm.

Hello, anonymous, I obviously know who wrote this review and sadly, yes when you misrepresent the facts multiple times, even while preparing with your attorney minutes before the hearing you reference above, and your attorney learns the actual facts from the other side during a pretrial hearing, often the outcome is not good, which is the lesson you learned. However, what you failed to include is that I was still able to successfully negotiate terms of your marital settlement agreement that put you in the same financial position you would have been had you been forthright. I always answered all of your emails and true to my word, did not bill you for any work done after that pretrial, which I was certainly not obligated to do, as the court's recommendation was based on your false narrative, nonetheless saving you legal fees. Despite your negative review, I wish you well.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
