Jonathan Minkus

On April 15, 2021 I have engaged Jonathan Minkus law firm to help me to get one theft felony vacated in Dupage County. Out of three criminal attorneys I contacted, Mr. Minkus was the only one who told me that would be able to get the charge vacated, the other two attorneys told me that it is impossi...ble and they have never seen it done, the prosecutors simply do not agree to vacating old guilty felony judgments, nor would they ever agree and set a precedent. Nevertheless, Mr. Minkus had implicitly told me that he will get it done. I have retained his services and paid in full. I was fully aware that no lawyer can guarantee an outcome, however, being lied to and being misled is another thing. Ultimately, the charge did not get vacated, as the prosecutor did not agree to it, just like the other two attorneys have told me. I would not recommend or refer anyone to him.

My wife and I have tried 3 times for her green card and was rejected three times because of some trouble she was accused of before she spoke English. I asked another Lawyer is there anything we can do and she referred us to Jonathan Minkus. We meet with Jonathan and said he might be able to help us... but it would be difficult. Jonathan sure did what he said he could do. He had to fly to another state and negotiate our post conviction with prosecutors and judges he never meet before and 10 years after the false conviction that she was charged with. He worked a COMPLETE MIRICAL for my wife. With the change in Judgement that other Lawyers we hired over the years, who were never able to do anything but charge us money and she is now eligible for her Green Card. Thanks to Jonathon we can have a normal life without fears of deportation.

I was sent to Mr. Minkus by my immigration lawyer because i had a DUI on my record. Because of this DUI Icould not try and become a citizen. He explained to me what he would try and do and eventually he was able to change my DUI to a different charge and my immigration lawyer now told me that nothing... now prevents me from being citizen. He charges a lot of money but he did a great job.

I almost never write reviews and when Mr. Minkus just finished representing my brother and I looked for him online I felt like I had to write this. Yes, he is not the cheapest lawyer around but he did exactly what he said he would do. My brother was being deported and we were sent to Mr. Minkus to tr...y and fix his criminal record. From the moment we met with Mr. Minkus we felt completely comfortable with him. He gave us a good idea of how long the process would take and what it would cost and he actually finished it in less time and did it for he told us it would cost. He also was completely successful. Our entire family very highly recommends him.
