Biography
Strategy and efficient play a big role in legal success. I focus on achievable goals. I settle when possible, and litigate when necessary. If I think a particular legal battle is not worth your time and/or money, I'll tell you so. I approach cases strategically, and commonly win against expensive downtown lawyers billing at rates significantly higher than my own.
Having faced a personal custody battle that culminated in my victory in the Michigan Supreme Court, I know from personal experience the challenges faced by those in divorce and custody disputes.
I've been appointed to the Illinois State Bar Association's Standing Committee on Judicial Evaluations (Cook County); as a member, I participate in evaluating judicial candidates.
While attending law school at Chicago-Kent, I worked for several judges in the Circuit Court of Cook County. I hold a master's degree from Northwestern University, and was a consultant before becoming a lawyer.
