Biography
GENE MELTSER, Managing Partner, received his Juris Doctorate Degree from DePaul University College of Law. He is admitted to practice law in the Supreme Court of the United States, Supreme Court of the State of Illinois, U.S. Federal District Court, Federal Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit, and to practice Immigration Law in all jurisdictions of the United States. Mr. Meltser is also licensed in the U.K. as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales. Gene is a co-founder of Immigrant Legal Defense Committee.
He concentrates his practice in the area of Business-Related Immigration Law. Mr. Meltser is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), American Bar Association (ABA), Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA), Chicago Bar Association (CBA) and American Trial Lawyers Association (ATLA).

Wasted time and money
The office closes standard cases. The work of employees had to be constantly checked and corrected. In my case the experience was very negative. There was an impression of a plan to deliberately fail the client’s case in order to extort money while appealing the decision.

Replied last October 14, 2023I am sorry you had this experience, but I am not sure you are reviewing correct office. Would be very useful to see your real name, as we do not have a client with your account name. Also, not certain what "closing standard cases" means. Each case in our office is unique and is given full attention. Further, a decision cannot be "appealed" if it is negative due to a mistake, so your presumption of future "extortion" is faulty. I would encourage you to reach out to me, if indeed your experience with MGL was negative.

unprofessional
Brought my immigration case to this lawyer, paid him to file 2 things: new immigration petition and an appeal based on misrepresentation. He didnt file an appeal and never returned money for it. Even more when i went for immigration interview for the new immigration petition that was filed, right at ...
