I came to Michael with the hopes of revoking my daughter's father's parental rights. I was coming to the end of a 2 year restraining order my daughter and I had against him and did not want him returning into our lives. I told Michael my intentions and he was very straight forward letting me know i...t is almost impossible to take away parental rights without the other parents consent. Michael knew exactly what orders we needed to put in place to take away any control her father had, and he fought very hard for me in court for the large amount of back pay he owed me. Michael was always very on top of everything, sending me petitions he had written up the same day we were in court and filing them quickly. He responded to all my emails within the same day and explained things to me in a way I could understand. He never stopped putting pressure on my daughter's father and eventually her dad gave up and agreed to relinquish his parental rights. I never would have been able to get this achieved without his help and expertise. He knows the ins and outs of family law and I would 110% refer him to family and friends. He has made it possible for my daughter to be adopted by my husband who has been a father figure for her, and she will have a positive role model to look up to now as she grows. I couldn't have been happier with the service Michael and his law firm provided us.

I did not meet Michael until after I hired he and his partner to handle my post-decree custody issue. At first I found him to be very direct and competent. That changed with the situation of my case, however. As it became more complicated I found Michael's response time to be average at best. I hav...e a file with 10 emails that were never answered. I have many more that took over a week to respond to. Often times his answers in emails or in person were contradictory to each other, which left me confused as to the status of my case and what direction he and his partner were taking to try to win. The only times his response was timely is when was asking for payment, which I never defaulted on. He did not notify me when he received notice of a petition that was going to be filed, nor did he tell me of the filing. The petition was found in my file over a month later (the 28 days to respond had passed).

As with any divorce, this was a very emotional time and Michael handled my case with my best interests at heart. He was compassionate, understanding, a fierce advocate for me during a very difficult time, extremely knowledgable of the laws and a stellar professional the entire way. He was always qu...ick to return phone calls, emails and/or texts. Always! My questions/fears were answered. His paralegal Laurie is amazing as well. She was always on top of things and even great at lendin g an ear! Michael knew the laws better than the other attorneys--my ex went through two. He researched other cases similar to mine and had an execution route for every scenario. We were prepared for trial, but in the end my ex finally settled. Michael is very respected among his peers and knows pretty much everyone. I have recommended him to multiple people for family law. I wouldn't trust anyone else as I want others to feel secure going into a very emotional time. He will take care of you, this is not a game to him, he understands these are people's lives in his hands.
