I was married to a controlling and abusive husband and I didn't know what to do or how to do it. Jeannette Zissis was a lifesaver through this awful process. She helped me make decisions and showed me options when I was too upset to think clearly. She wasn't afraid of my ( thank god now ex) husban...d or his big fancy attorneys. She is a great person, and I would refer anyone I know who is contemplating divorce.

I was referred to this attorney through an organization that is supposed to help women going through a divorce. She gave a free consultation but once hired she charged an outrageous amount of money for the work she did for me. She advised me in such a poor way that left me in a terrible financial sit...uation. I fired her before we even saw a day in court because she sent me so many bills above the initial retainer of $5,000. I paid her nearly $10,000 without entering a court room. So I fired her when she wanted another $1,000 to proceed to court. The documents she drew up for me were boilers that couldn't have taken more than 5 min to print out and insert names and amounts. She then sued me for the remaining $1,000 I owed her for doing an awful job at looking out for my best interest. I was left with nothing except my ex-husband's debt and no support after the divorce. And then she sued a single mom working two jobs who still can't make enough to pay the bills I was left with. She isn't looking to help anyone for their best interest except her own. I wouldn't recommend her to anyone except to recommend they stay away from her which I always do. I recommended my ex-husbands lawyer to my family and friends because he charged him a reasonable price and got him a much better deal.
