Simply put, Matt is amazing. I am a lawyer as well (not a criminal defense lawyer), and found myself in a very precarious position with two DWI's in a very short period of time due to drinking while changing my PTSD medication and then driving my vehicle. I was terrified. As a lawyer, I did not re...alize the complicated nature of the criminal laws relating to DWI's. I assumed that I could read the statute, figure it out, and represent myself in some sort of plea deal to address the situation. I could not. This is a highly complex area of law involving significant nuances and severe consequences if not handled properly. Matt very clearly and practically laid out for me all of the primary issues, the risks associated with various courses of action, and the consequences of proceeding down different paths in an attempt to resolve all of the issues associates with the two DWI's (at a very high BAC). He advised me of all the steps I could take throughout the case to better my position (and get and stay sober). I knew what to expect and where I was at during every juncture of the case. He promptly responded to all my questions and contacts. Matt's knowledge of the judges, prosecutors, and probation officers in different counties (including the county in which I was charged), was absolutely invaluable. It was clear that he had an excellent rapport and credibility with all of the judges that I appeared in front of throughout the different stages of my case. Most importantly, Matt was compassionate, non-judgmental, and kind. We were not able to come to a plea agreement with the prosecutor in these matters. Matt made an excellent argument to the Judge during sentencing, and I received a sentence that was fair, recognized all of the positive steps I had taken since receiving the DWI's, and took into account some difficult family circumstances that allowed me to continue as a caregiver to both my children and my mother with relatively minimal disruption. I am forever indebted and thankful to Matt and his expertise. I would highly recommend him for any criminal matter.

I was in a weather-related Car accident a few months back, and received charges that I felt were clearly unfair and unjust given the situation. I had never had any criminal history or run-ins with the law before- I had never been in a court system or knew how any of it worked. I called his office and he got back to me fast and he filled me in on everything. He doesn't speak confusing nor does he put in a bunch of lawyer jargon- he speaks ...to the point and you can understand him- even if you've never been a court before. He knows his stuff and tells you exactly what to do. The best part is, he knows how to stay calm and keep you happy when it seems like your world is falling apart. He gave excellent advice to me when the police showed up at my door and told me to say nothing to them but let him talk to them. He reassured me the whole time, responded to my calls and emails quickly, and saved me from making things worse on myself. He gives you the REAL advice. He doesn't beat around the bush and lie to you, he doesn't say you're magically going to be acquitted on all charges- he gives you a very realistic goal but often exceeds it and gets you an even better deal. I was in a very complicated situation involving sexual crimes- to say the least. And he made an incredible game plan that worked and I thankfully was never convicted of anything. Without this attorney- I don't think I would even be posting this right now unless they have a computer in jail. This also isn't an attorney looking for a cash grab either. He has fair prices and is more than accommodating in finding payment plan options. You can tell that this guy genuinely likes being an attorney and isn't in it for the cash- he really cares about you individually and working your case.
