Biography
David Risk has earned a reputation as an excellent criminal defense attorney through his aggressive representation of thousands of criminal defense clients. David began his career as a Public Defender in Ramsey County. David pursued private criminal defense in 2005. He joined Halberg Criminal Defense as a partner in 2013 and devotes half of his practice to DWI and Implied Consent cases. David is particularly skilled at finding novel legal issues and successfully litigating those issues. David's representation has delighted clients charged with crimes ranging from misdemeanor driving offenses to first-degree murder. Although many peers in the legal community would note his intellect as his outstanding quality, David's clients have an appreciation for the compassion that he shows them during difficult circumstances. David was the 2014 President of Minnesota Society for Criminal Justice as well as a Super Lawyer 2014-2018.

Technically knowledgeable and very friendly
