I worked with this lawyer very briefly back in 2005. I asked him to review something involving my divorce and put down a retainer. I get a bill in the mail for 14 hours of research that he supposedly did on my case. I did not have much money to begin with and I got a bill for over my retainer before any proceedings even started. I was crying when I got his bill and dropped him right away. I found a great lawyer who helped me with my divorce without trying to take my money.

If you want your attorney to tell you to "Act like a lady" after you tell him about threats from your husband during your divorce-hire him. I also told him about the domestic physical assaults and abuse, previous restraining orders I had filed, and court ordered anger management classes for me now ex husband during the marriage- his response, "Minnesota is a no fault divorce state". This is NOT TRUE when it pertains to domestic abuse. After 20 years of marriage to an abuser, my spousal support should have been reserved, if not permanent. I am now disabled because of the abuse caused my ex husband during our marriage. When I talked to him a couple of months ago, he said, "There is a a lot more awareness of domestic abuse now". If you are woman thinking about hiring him to represent you in a divorce action or for any other reason. DON'T!!!!!!
