Absolutely horrible experience

Hiring Ms. Wolter to handle my divorce was one of the worst (if not THE worst) decision I’ve ever made. She caused immense mental stress, failed to advocate for me, and is a terrible writing who submitted poorly written court documents full of typos and grammatical errors. I spent hours and hours cor...recting not only these errors, but her misrepresentation of the facts, either from not listening or not caring. She also says she'll look into something and follow up with you, but never does. You'll find yourself getting so frustrated at her lack of follow up that you'll just come to accept it. She will listen to you, but don't mistake that for empathy, knowledge building, or fact gathering. She is simply wasting your time to increase her fees. Worse still, I ultimately offered a settlement—not because it was fair or in my best interest, but because I had no confidence in her ability to represent me at trial. During motion hearings, she was consistently unprepared and ineffective, allowing the opposing side to lie and berate me without objection or rebuttal. She is not well spoken and was not respected by the judge.

Given this review is anonymous, its difficult to know who has written it. Based on the information in the review though, I believe I know the author. This client had a very stressful divorce given the actions of her ex-husband. Often times the person that the client takes out their feelings on in these situations, is their own attorney. As an attorney, I try my best to acknowledge these circumstances and be as understanding as I can. I represented this client for a substantial period of time on two occasions. At one point in time, this particular client and I decided to end our attorney client relationship during the divorce. The client hired a different attorney. Several months later, she came back to me and asked me to complete representation of her case. Her complaints about the other lawyer were very similar to what is now being said of me. I was told the other attorney submitted substandard documents to the Court, said nonsense things to the Court during hearings, and allowed the other attorney to disparage her. It is interesting that she is now saying the same things about my representation. I am never unprepared for Court. Client's often complement my writing skills and how often I know the facts of their particular cases. Prior to any documents leaving our office, they are reviewed by myself, my paralegal and the client. We do not submit documents with errors to the Court. I always welcome clients to discuss concerns with me during the process and did offer that to this particular client.

Tiffane was great

I hired Tifanne for a child support case and was extremely satisfied with her knowledge, attention to detail, and communication skills. I was so much less nervous after working with her and was very, very happy with the outcome of my case. I would hire her again in a heartbeat.

WOULD NOT USE AGAIN!

My husband and I hired Tifanne even at the double expense of another lawyer hoping that this would be a "you get what you pay for" experience. We had to call Tifanne the last day before court papers were to be filed to find out what she had put together. I would expect that a lawyer you pay $250/hr w...ould have contacted us. No contact was made after the court except to email the judge's findings. We had to have the court documents redone several times even though we were very specific on what we wanted (yes we had to pay each time). I finally wrote in what we wanted, fixed the typos from the paperwork she sent, and emailed the paperwork back. Tifanne forgot our name in court TWICE, and was completely unprepared in court. The main reason for court was to be able to have the children fly unaccompanied minor. Tifanne could not explain to the judge what unaccompanied minor meant even though this was the main reason for the court date. We had spoken with Tifanne SEVERAL times about the unaccompanied minor previous to court. I would never suggest this lawyer, and I will never use her again.

With all due respect to the above reviewer, I must clarify that the writer of this review was not my actual client. Rather, the reviewer is someone related to the client. As I am bound by attorney client privilege and value my client's privacy, I cannot ethically disclose the facts concerning this case that would refute the false information and inaccuracies contained within this review. I will say that following the particular court hearing discussed above, the Sheriffs deputy in the courtroom pulled me aside, for the express purpose of complimenting me on my legal knowledge and debating skills. If any client is unhappy with any aspect of my representation, I would ask that they contact me to discuss the situation. I am always willing to listen to and appreciate criticism so that I can continue to be considered an attorney who exceeds client's expectations and offers valuable services.

Excellent representation. I would retain her services again in a heartbeat.

I retained Tifanne Wolters services recently for a custody modification dispute with my ex-wife, she was very professional, did not waste anyones time and knew the laws involved exceptionally well. I was a nervous wreck in the beginning and Tifanne did a great job on soothing my nerves and my familys... nerves about everything. We did get the outcome we had hoped for and If I had to do it all over again, this lawyer would be my first point of contact for the reasons stated and beyond....no questions asked. Thank you again for everything Tifanne!

Thorough and trustworthy

Tifanne was introduced to my post decree custody case after several hundred pages of affidavits had been submitted to court. Opposing counsel was organized and had endless money to fight me. I had a horrible experience with lawyers prior to finding Tifanne. She took care of everything learning the... case in one month. She researched case law and ultimately made opposing counsel look silly. She knows family law and all of it's intricacies very well. When you hire Tifanne you can stop worrying!

Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter

"I would definitely recommend Ms. Wolter for family law matters such as divorce, parenting time and child support. Ms. Wolter was opposing counsel on a difficult parenting time dispute. Our respective clients were not speaking to one another, except for exchanging accusations of past wrongs Ms. Wolter took the time to meet with me and understand where my client was coming from in terms of her concerns and also helped me understand her client's concerns. I was impressed by her willingness to get to the heart of the issues and, rather than just joining with our client's in hurling bitter statements back and forth, really think about and discuss possible solutions to the problem. We ended up in negotiations after the court hearing and came to a resolution so that we didn't have to wait for the court's decision."
