I had to file Bankruptcy unexpectedly.

I need to tell people how working with Tim with my Bankruptcy was awesome. I was laid off unexpectedly from a company in Anoka that used to be the place to work you could rely on them well no more. Totally turned my life upside down and had to file it was hard I worked hard to build my credit and poo...f gone. I was so upset to have to do this But Tim and his office manager Amy were great they worked with me and were honest and by my side thru the entire process. I recommend Tim to anyone. I inquired with some attorneys that had commercials or big ads in the phone book but shied away from them because the didn't quote a price they just said well maybe this much etc. Tim was straight up and if you did your part it all went well.

Highly Recommended

Tim Theisen came highly recommended to me by a close family friend. I would recommend him to anyone who is thinking about going through the bankruptcy process. At first I was scared, nervous, and ashamed of the situation I got myself into. I didn't want to admit that I was drowning in debt. After my ...first initial meeting with Tim, my fears were calmed. Tim is extremely knowledgeable. He was able to answer all of my questions and then some. Even his front office staff, Amy in particular, was helpful. I would recommend Tim Theisen to anyone! Don't wait to call!!

After years of uncertainty and fear, everything was resolved in a matter of months

The idea of filing bankruptcy was very distressing. It is full of many emotions - fear, sense of failure, shame and regret. I had spent 2-3 years trying to work out a reasonable plan with the banks - with out success. I finally decided to meet with an attorney. I spent another 2 years in limbo a...nd uncertainty. Then I went along with a friend, for support, to her first meeting with Tim. The difference was quite astonishing. She met with Tim and not support staff. The information he provided in one meeting was more than I received in 2 years working with the other attorney. I knew I had to switch. At the other office, you felt as if it was a bother or inconvenient to answer questions. At times the staff was actually rude. Not so with Tim and his office. Questions were answered without condemnation. Everything was explained thoroughly. I was treated with respect. Things were done extremely promptly. I needed a means test done, I met with Tim and he went through it with me. He explained everything. Again I learned things that I hadn't been told by the other lawyer. At the other office, the means test had been done by the paralegal with no input from me and no explanation given. The difference was between success and failure. In general with the first lawyer, I never knew what was going on and I felt I couldn't ask any questions. If things didn't go right I was treated rudely and actually yelled at. When I switched to Tim, things went quickly and smoothly, and it was done in a few short months. I finally could move forward with my life. I have since called with questions and Tim generously answers then for me. I would highly recommend Tim Theisen.

My only regret is that I didn't file bankruptcy sooner.

Tim and Amy did any amazing job handling my bankruptcy. I walked in to Tim's office with so much shame, fear and trepidation from years of debt that had haunted me after I lost my job and as a result was no longer able to keep up with my financial obligations. I was so afraid to take that "first step..." to seek legal help that I put it off for 3-4 years. I regret that now - I wish I had acted sooner! But I am so grateful for the thorough and professional manner in which everything was handled. That was not more evident than when I sat on my court date waiting for my appointed time in front of the judge and overheard the conversations between several clients and their bankruptcy lawyers panicking over missing papers and hearing "what do you mean we didn't get these papers and documents filed, where are they? They're supposed to be reviewed by the judge today. These were all supposed to be in your file." I was incredulous that anyone could appear for their hearing before the bankruptcy judge without all the necessary documentation they needed to proceed and run a huge risk of having their case dismissed by the judge that day. Tim and Amy made sure every 'i" was dotted and every "t" was crossed long before we met at the courtroom for our court date. There were no unpleasant surprises that day for me! Everything was exactly as it needed to be and every document I needed was in Tim's briefcase. All I can say is, be very careful who you choose to represent you! If you want someone highly qualified and organized you want Tim Theisen. If you want to "shop around" then you take your chances on obtaining someone who doesn't care enough about you personally to see you through one of the most difficult legal actions you might ever have to take on. Someone who may be unqualified to represent you. I couldn't be happier now. I can answer my phone again when it rings! I don't have to dread having someone come up to my house to serve me with papers for a debt I couldn't repay. I have a humongous burden that has been lifted from my shoulders that weighed me down for too many years.
