Unprofessional and lacks emotional intelligence

Met with Mr. Black concerning custody mediation. His style is that of a parent. I understand that during custody battle parents tend to act like children, but Mr. Black certainly didn't give me or my ex the opportunity to communicate our style and methods before his prescriptive measures. These antiq...uated tactics may have worked in his earlier years, but he could stand a cultural competence training or two at this point. Note he even referred to one of his former clients as a "wacko" during our session. I mean, need I say more? People deserve better. Pay someone who demonstrates professionalism. Not Mr. Black!

Terrible expierence

I recently Had a paternity case Mike Black was my court appointed attourney not only could i never get aHold of him but when i did get ahold of him weeks after the original call he seemed to have no time or patience to deal with my case. In the court house setting you could see the person wHo sHould... be working for you bending over backwards so the other party could get exactly what they want. I am now paying in child support more money then i make im only allowed to see my child every other weekend. His negotiation skills are mediocre at best. Hes an old man that needs to do us all a favor and retire so we can get real attourneys and maybe not get screwed over by the courts.

A very good attorney with a great deal of knowledge.

My spouse and I retained Mike to represent us for a fee dispute we were in the midst of arguing with a former contractor. Mike helped us determine that mediation would be our best course of action to try and settle the dispute. Mediation requires good faith negotiations and compromise from both pa...rties. While it may not be the right choice for every situation; it definitely was for ours. Mike provided excellent representation before and during mediation, and followed through to ensure the settlement agreement was executed after mediation. In addition to being pleasant to work with; we would recommend Mike for his in-depth legal knowledge, experience, professionalism, and dependability...just to name a few among the many positives.
