I am writing to formally express my serious concerns regarding the domestic abuse restraining order hearing held today, August 18, in which my pregnant girlfriend and I were the petitioners.During the hearing, we felt extremely rushed and experienced a distinct bias toward the respondent. I was not a...ble to read even a full paragraph from my statement, nor was I given the opportunity to present the video evidence I had prepared. Ultimately, the restraining order was denied due to a "lack of evidence," despite the fact that our evidence was withheld from the court. Brian made his decision solely based on the respondent’s statement with no evidence. Brians conduct during the proceeding was extremely aggressive and unprofessional.
