Emily Long Reveiw

Emily Long assisted me while pursuing a divorce. However, much of her dedication and support superseded any reasonable expectations. Emily was a central figure in pursuing my wellness and fair and reasonable expectations from others. She represented me in various criminal offenses and legal actions r...egarding my mental health. Emily aided me in providing me in chance to begin again.

Excellent, ethical & effective

Emily was very helpful at every phase of the divorce process, both in being knowledgeable of the law and in her handling of the people & emotional aspects involved. She also worked very efficiently so that costs did not become a burden. I would work with her again and would not hesitate to refer to... her. I was very satisfied with her results.

Not good

I hired Emily to represent me in my divorce based on Avvo reviews. At my first meeting she told me to start to pay my estranged husband's bills, her opinion was that I would be paying them in the end anyway. She gave in way too easily, I don't feel she fought hard for me, I also found her to be conde...scending. I would not recommend her.

Excellent Attorney

Emily is an excellent attorney. After representing myself for years, we decided we needed to have an attorney to move forward with our family law matters in order to protect our kids in the best way possible. Emily is not only very professional, knowledgeable and very responsive, she truly does ca...re about what's best for her clients and their situation. I would not hesitate to hire her again or recommend her to our friends and family.

Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter

"I've known Emily for over ten years, and opposed her in a number of matters. Although I don't do family law any more, I can attest to her winning combination of skill, intelligence, and determination. She will listen to her clients, and demonstrate caring, concern, and dedication to obtain for her clients the needs they have in difficult times. I would recommend her to those who find themselves dealing with the difficulties of marital strife, unreservedly."

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
