Attorney Scott Butler, Paralegal Haley The purpose of this review is to be informative and helpful to any future clients of Fitzpatrick, Skemp and Butler law firm who are researching for an attorney. Also, I am letting the firm know things that stand out in my mind of efforts and contributions to... my case that I want them to know I appreciate. Nobody from the firm told me to write what has been said this is my own words. My case has been concluded I think highly of Fitzpatrick, Skemp and Butler and I want to be genuine in sharing my answers and response with others. I would like to emphasize first that I am not going to mention any dollar figure of my settlement. I want people to focus on what I have to say about Fitzpatrick, Skemp and Butler and a dollar figure would only create a distraction from the main objective of my review. It would be unfair to them, for me or anyone else to judge the entire legal team of dedicated people that have spent tireless hours, nights, weekends and holidays working hard on my case just on a dollar sign. Currency only has a temporary value; a positive business relationship can last a life time and is worth more to me than currency. I will say my settlement has allowed me to have a second chance at life. I was on the verge of being homeless due to being out of work for months with bills. If Fitzpatrick, Skemp and Butler find your case of value and you present all the necessary evidence and documents to them in a timely fashion then success of a well-compensated settlement is guaranteed. I was struck in a pedestrian crossing by a driver who failed to observe both stop light and cross walk on a busy intersection on US Highway 16 near La Crosse, WI. The driver was ticketed for failure to stop. I had no broken bones but I had multiple bruises I am still recovering from. I had zero knowledge of the legal system and no money so I did not look at getting an attorney because I thought I could not afford one. I attempted to handle the situation on my own only to realize I could not. The police put the wrong insurance company on the crash report of the person who hit me so when I called the insurance company, they had no record of the individual who hit me. I explained the situation and within a few days from when I had spoken to her, I was in the office with Scott Butler signing paperwork to my case. Scott is not only a fantastic attorney but also a fantastic guy he is patient, kind, empathetic towards my personal needs. I have a second grade reading education, along with reading comprehension problems, so it takes me longer to understand things on top off complex legal terms. Scott took the time to explain line by line in detail each section of paperwork over the firm’s agreement without me having to ask before I signed any documents. During the case, Scott is more than just an attorney he is a mentor, coach and helped me understand the mindset of how insurance companies work. December 2019 my mother was literally run over by a Ford F150 truck TWICE while walking to her car in a parking lot. Luckily this accident did not kill her, but she had MANY injuries; some of them have left her permanently disabled. The driver was a state employee driving a state vehicle so the ins...urance limitations were minimal to say the least. Excellent, extremely knowledgeable Attorney. I had slipped on a jobsite and tore my rotator cuffs in both my shoulders. Well you know what happens when you are injured on the job...you go from being number one to just a number. They tried to kick me to the curb and put me in a bad situation.
