When you get married you take vows for better or for worse. Unfortunately, divorce brings out the worst in people. It's a very difficult and confusing time. I am so thankful that I had Joe in my corner to help every step of the way. Joe always answered my questions quickly and was always looking ...out for mine and my children's best interests. I can't imagine going through that without his wonderful expertise! His staff was amazing and I never felt like I was waiting for answers or bothering someone to ask any question that I had. Questions still arise today and I know that I can go back to Joe and everything will be taken care of.

I used Mr. Skemp for a child custody hearing. I had heard great things about him from a friend and decided to retain him. My previous attorney's had always given me mediocre advice and I felt that I was always put on the back burner until my court date arrived. NOT WITH SKEMP. Our first meeting was a... breath of fresh air. I have never been happier with an attorney's work. I don't usually waste my time with these reviews but I am very appreciative of Joe's work. Great thinking and advice. He is to the point and knows the system well. I was told by other attorney's that certain things were not possible. I did not get this with him. He is a problem solver but knows court limits. Even when he is not immediately available you can talk to someone who is up to date on your court case and can give you the information you are looking for. Joe's assistant Elaine is so helpful and kind. I hope you find this review helpful. I wish someone would have told me something a long time ago when I was looking for other attorney's. You get what you pay for and Joe is definitely worth it.

First impression was great, he was aggressive and a non-bs attorney. After a while I had to track him down, spent more time talking to his para then anything; and he was horrible at responding. The worst part was, he forgot a few times on things and tried to justify it. Just admit you forgot and n...o harm we are all human. Lastly, my ex's attorney had control of the case, Joe backed down; what he said I should have no problem getting was off. He told me to take a ridiculous deal as its probably the best I could get. When I asked to file attempt of court on my ex, he stated; that it is more work then it is worth, so the the bs kept on happening. Nice guy, but I think he is personally to busy.
