Highly Recommended

We hired Joe Skemp to help us with a home loan modification. We had been trying to work something out with our lender for over a year but were getting nowhere. As soon as we hired Joe he was able to get the bank to respond and ultimately approve our loan modification application, dismiss the pendin...g foreclosure proceedings, and avoid bankruptcy. His knowledge and expertise and the attention he and his staff gave to our case allowed us to save our home. We are very grateful for his assistance during this hard time. We highly recommend him and would not hesitate to hire him in the future if needed.

Litigation lawyer | Apr 24

Relationship: Worked together on matter

"I have had the pleasure of knowing and working with Joe for almost fifteen years. Joe has a solid understanding of the law, the court system and his adversary. He has only one goal in mind; the best interest of his clients. I have personally witnessed him volunteer, counsel, weigh alternatives and provide outstanding advice. In an era where it is not uncommon to hear lawyers raise their voice or use a condescending tone, Joe is always on an even keel. He approaches all involved with respect and dignity. This respectful and well thought out approach works to the benefit of his client. It is a pleasure to work with Joe and to refer clients to his good care. I recommend his services without hesitation."

Relationship: Co-worker

"Joe is taking his place as one of the leading family law attorneys in Southwest Wisconsin. He uses his legal knowledge, his years of experience arguing before judges and court commissioners, and his friendly personality to help clients get good outcomes for their cases. Joe is probably most notable in the community as being able to practice at a very high level against any other litigators in the state while at the same time reliably keeping a conscientious eye on the client's bottom line (i.e. notifying clients if it looks like arguing about certain legal points or property division issues might not be cost-effective and then letting the client decide how to proceed.)"
