I hired Jay to handle a serious traffic matter for a relative. As a lawyer myself, I have pretty high standards for lawyers I hire. I have to say that I was impressed with Jay and his firm from the first phone call to him and throughout the entire case. Jay asked far more questions in the initial ...interview than other attorneys we had talked with. As we talked, he was laser focused - already coming up with ways to defend the case. Jay's written communications with us were detailed and very timely - mailed out the same day as the case was up in court or on pretrial conference. Like any lawyer worth his mettle, Jay didn't promise us any particular result - he gave us the best and worst case scenarios. We were very pleased with the settlement Jay was able to achieve and especially glad that he was able to dispose of the case so quickly. The firm's billing statements were always accurate and arrived like clockword each month. The total fee was right in line with what Jay told us to expect. Mr. Englund was a fantastic defense Lawyer in my case. Although my charges consisted of a felony degree charge, I insisted my innocence to Jay right from the beginning, and I truly believe he put 100% trust in me and what I had to say. He and his investigative team worked incredibly hard to get the ...results I not only wanted, but needed to continue my life how I wanted to. He has a work ethic that not many can say they have, and in the end the results show. Although mr. Englund has a boat load of confidence in his ability, he did a good job of preparing me for what could come and when things would happen. I don't have much to complain about with the job he did, and my felony charge was completing dropped months after the initial charge. It did take a long time, but that is just how the system works.
