Jay Englund worked for many months on a case where I was charged with OWI/DUI, but he got the case dismissed after a lot of careful detail work on his part--work that I would never have thought about myself, or had access to, such as police camera footage, timelines, and various points of Wisconsin l...aw. (I am not from Wisconsin, but Jay also got in touch with a lawyer in my state to sound out the issues). Both the prosecutor and judge in Wisconsin were convinced by Jay to dismiss the case pretrial. This was my first experience with such a charge, but I feel with full confidence that Jay is a five-star defender and extremely recommendable. He was very professional and communicative throughout.

I managed to quickly accumulate three OWI arrests in three different counties. Things looked pretty hopeless in terms of having to spend real time in jail. Jay worked tirelessly to shepherd me through this legal maze. Jay identified enough legal problems with each of the cases that I was able to plea...d out to minor charges with no impact on my ability to keep working at my job. In pretrial hearings, Jay was incredibly effective in examining the arresting officers. His sharp questioning forced the arresting officers into making admissions about my arrests that destroyed the State’s cases against me. Sitting in the courtroom and watching him question the officers and present legal arguments to the judge convinced me that I had the best representation available. Because Jay was interested in learning the facts, and had a clear understanding of Wisconsin law, when he couldn’t convince the prosecutor to give up an argument before court, he crushed the prosecutor in front of the judge. I am hopeful that I will never need Jay’s services again, but if a friend ever needs a criminal defense lawyer in Wisconsin, Jay will be my first recommendation.

This review is as REAL as it gets! Charged with Felony 5th OWI, Felony refusal to give blood. During which caught ANOTHER case Felony Bail jumping, and Felony possession of narcotics. End result Felony 5th OWI AND Felony Refusal....DISMISSED. Felony possession dropped, plead out the Felony bail jumpi...ng NO JAIL TIME, NO PROBATION!!! Now not only was hiring Jay the best decision I have ever made...and yes the outcome of both cases better than I ever imagined....that's not even the icing on the cake...bottom line Jay M. Englund literally saved my life! Upon hiring him I was in a dark place where I have just about to give up on everything, Jay gave me suggestions not just to help with my case, more importantly to get my life on track. They were hard decision, but I listened to him and we'll I finally have my life back which I truly thought was coming to an end. Jay was with me by my side the ENTIRE way! As for my case....once Jay knew something, I knew something. He kept me posted 110% of the way, explained everything, clearly, and most importantly was 110% honest weather it was good or bad news/ thoughts of what to do. Between him and his secretary everything was documented, explained, and getting a hold of Jay for any reason was NEVER an issue! I can honestly say I have my life back, on track, and NOTHING holding me on a stand still 110 % because of making the decision to hir Jay Englund. Pricy yes but HE WORKED with me ways a lot of other lawyers wouldn't. When it comes to price....DO NOT LET IT DISCOURAGE YOU FROM HIRING HIM. I was charged with OWI-1st over a year ago. After consulting with some of my law enforcement buddies, they unanimously recommended Jay Englund to help me fight my case. What I didn't know, is that the "ch...ances" of winning my case has alot to do with how hard your attorney is willing to work. Yesterday, after 13 months, we finally had our day in court. After 30 minutes of bringing up things that even I had forgotten about, quoting case law off the top of his head, and strategically questioning witnesses, there was no doubt HE had convinced the judge to throw out my case. And that's exactly what happened! Jay Englund is the Michael Jordan of attorneys. I cannot recommend him enough. If you are shopping for an attorney, believe me, you get what you pay for, but the intangibles are, how hard is your attorney going to work for you? Jay made me feel like I was his only client. The guy will simply bust his ass for you. In retrospect, I believe the difference between a good lawyer and great lawyer is their work ethic. If you hire Jay Englund, you will definitely get your money’s worth!

Jay Englund is by far the go to choice for legal advice/consultation. He helped me out tremendously and ended up getting my owi 2nd dismissed.
