I hired Jay to handle a serious traffic matter for a relative. As a lawyer myself, I have pretty high standards for lawyers I hire. I have to say that I was impressed with Jay and his firm from the first phone call to him and throughout the entire case. Jay asked far more questions in the initial ...interview than other attorneys we had talked with. As we talked, he was laser focused - already coming up with ways to defend the case. Jay's written communications with us were detailed and very timely - mailed out the same day as the case was up in court or on pretrial conference. Like any lawyer worth his mettle, Jay didn't promise us any particular result - he gave us the best and worst case scenarios. We were very pleased with the settlement Jay was able to achieve and especially glad that he was able to dispose of the case so quickly. The firm's billing statements were always accurate and arrived like clockword each month. The total fee was right in line with what Jay told us to expect. Jay Englund was able to take over a very diluted and drawn out case against myself; track it's history, understand the facts as well as misunderstandings - and provide results that were outside of even my best expectations. Had I known Jay 18 months ago, I personally believe I could have saved mysel...f an enormous amount of time, money and most importantly - missed opportunities. Jay is an amazing and trustworthy attorney. I had a very messy OWI case in sauk county that no other attorney I spoke with in Wisconsin would take. My concequences were huge if I was convicted. My husband and I hired Jay about about 3 months ago to represent me due to my second dui as well as my third driving after revocation, as well as a few other minor traffic violations.
