Attorney Matthew Underwood is an estate planning and business attorney at Underwood Legal, LLC. - Individuals and Families. Matt enjoys helping families and individuals protect their life savings and legacy from probate, estate taxes, and long-term care costs. He helps parents provide for and protect minor children or children with special needs. Matt also helps clients take control of their future by establishing health care directives and financial powers of attorney.
- Business Owners. Matt helps business owners establish a strong legal foundation on which to grow and thrive. Some examples of Matt’s business work include establishing legal entities such as LLCs and Corporations, reviewing and drafting contracts, and developing succession plans.
Matt in the Greater Dane County Community
Matt takes his leadership and planning out into the community. Matt is a Director with the Ice Age Trail Alliance, a non-profit whose mission is to support and protect a thousand-mile hiking trail across Wisconsin. He is also the vice chair of the Madison Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors group, a member of the Middleton Chamber of Commerce, and serves as a mentor through the Rubin for Kids program.
On a Personal Note
Matt lives on the east side of Madison with his wife, Chong Lor. Matt and Chong enjoy visiting National Parks, hiking and generally experiencing the great outdoors.

Did a TOD document for legal filing
Seemed very professional and knew exactly what we wanted being a couple that are unmarried with a condo as tenants in common leaving our particular children with the appropriate assets upon the death of one of us avoiding probate.
