Corey has been a godsend to myself and others I know. He’s very knowledgeable, honest, and very dedicated to your case. His paralegal Keegan was very personable also, which made me feel at ease and gave me comfort when dealing with my misdemeanor. I didn’t even have to appear. 06/30/2024 While going through a very contentious divorce, my son was charged with child abuse by the ex-wife and her mother. Unfortunately, the county he lives in was very poor at doing any investigating of the accusations and took the womens’ versions as gospel truth. My son was thrown in jail a...nd was facing 6 years in prison and loss of his two boys. The supposed abuse did not involve any medical intervention and it can be proven it did not happen. Corey took on the CHIPS case and the Criminal case and won both of them. The DA was unscrupulous, as was the social worker, and they were very willing to do things that were not legitimate in order to keep the case dragging out for many, many months. Corey had to fight selective prosecution and bias on the part of of the DA (which was pointed out by the Criminal Court) and provable lies by the caseworker. It was very telling that the police said that if my son fought the charges the case would drag on for 2 years. Frankly, it is amazing how accurate that turned out to be. Slow walked and delayed hearings, unprepared DA all worked together to drag things out. There were a few times my son was tempted to just quit fighting as it was a never ending battle to try to see his boys and it was destroying his health and his finances. Corey was quick to notice when he was getting too beat down by the system and was able to brace him up each time and keep him working towards vindication of his name. I know Corey spent many, many hours on the case above and beyond what most lawyers would have done and the family can’t thank him enough. First and foremost, I want to start off by giving a Million Thanks to Corey Mehlos for being an amazing lawyer and for always keeping Myself and my husband up to date with every detail of his case and for fighting for him and seeing the good in him and not the “Criminal “that they viewed him as. ... In 2021 my Husband was hit with a Conspiracy Charge that held a sentence of 52 years. Attorney Corey Mehlos is an amazing attorney.. I have never had somebody fight for me like he has.. Corey saved my life , thats the only way to say it.. We have spent countless hours going over everything and getting ready for trial and then it would be canceled, and repeat that multiple times.. fin...ally last week we went to trial and we won..
