Client charged with OWI 1st offense and one related charge of felony bail jumping and two related charges of misdemeanor bail jumping based on the prescription metabolites found within her blood during ... a toxicology exam. I persuaded the prosecutor that simply because the metabolites exceeded the "therapeutic range," that did not indicate the driver was either impaired or "incapable of safely driving." The prosecutor agreed and dismissed the case.

My client sued an insurance company, alleging that that other driver was at fault for an auto accident that totaled his truck. In a bench trial, the judge agreed that the other driver had broken five ... traffic safety laws and, accordingly, found that the other driver was 90 percent at fault. As a result, my client received nearly twice the amount of monetary compensation that the opposing driver's insurance company had originally offered him.
