Marcus Jens Berghahn

My practice is focused on the defense of individuals and corporations accused of criminal misconduct.  I appear regularly in state and federal courts, handling all types of criminal cases at all stages of criminal proceedings—from investigation to pre-charging negotiation, to practice before a Grand Jury or a John Doe magistrate, to motion hearings, to jury trial and through appeal.

My skills have been recognized by my AV rating from Martindale Hubbell ® (signifying the highest level of legal ability and very high adherence to standards of professional conduct) and my inclusion in BEST LAWYERS IN AMERICA (Criminal Defense: White-Collar) and as a Super Lawyer (Criminal Defense).

I speak regularly to lawyers and law students on criminal law issues.  And each fall I serve as an adjunct law professor teaching a seminar on constitutional law (on the Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Amendments to the United States Constitution) at the University of Wisconsin Law School. I am a double badger--I received both my bachelor's degree and my law degree from the University of Wisconsin.
