Katherine Cole Harrell

Words cannot describe the person Katherine (Katie) Harrell. I grew up in Madison and knew of many other attorney's. But when looking for a solid family attorney when I was going through my divorce, I knew that I had found the best in the business when I met Katie. Her knowledge and expertise of Wisconsin Family law surpassed my expectations. Katie laid out our game plan that worked for everyone involved including myself. Katie just gets the job done. Again, I cannot stress that everything worked out for me, my children and believe it or not, my ex-wife with a fair and equitable deal. Katie included cases for our defense that the other attorney had no idea existed and could not come up with rebuttals against it. I would highly recommend Katie as she is very professional, loyal and will not waste your time with unnecessary items. Hands down, if I had to go through this again (I hope Never) I would be right back with Katie by my side. In the mean time, I refer clients to Katie whenever I come across them.

When I first went in to have a consultation with Katie I was nervous and didn’t know what to expect. However, I immediately felt very comfortable talking with her about my case. She began to give me valuable advice on the best way to approach things and knew what my rights were in my situation. In the beginning everything about the legal system seemed so complicated and stressful to me. Katie made it a priority to go over everything and explain things in their simplest form so that I could understand it. There were no surprises. She prepared me for every step and explained what the possible outcomes could be. The more I understood the more confident I became in myself and my case. Katie is very articulate, knowledgeable and has a deep understanding of the legal system. She takes charge and follows through while working hard for her client. She is clear, decisive, very to the point and made things as easy as possible to understand, while continuing to be compassionate. I got the sense right away that Katie truly cares about difficult family dynamics and wants what is in the best interest of any children involved and that her end goal is to protect the children while recognizing the fact that 2 people need to continue to co-parent in the aftermath. Katie made me feel comfortable with her. She was right by my side at one the most painful times in my life. I don’t know what I would have done without her. She made an otherwise difficult and painful process as smooth as possible for me. We got the best results we could have, and were both very happy with the outcome. I would definitely recommend Katie to anyone needing a thoughtful and caring lawyer to handle family issues/divorce. She is honest and compassionate with a strong work ethic to see things to completion. I am forever grateful to Katie.

She seems to be working for the other side and collecting the money from me for doing nothing for me, but for my ex. Communication is terrible....she has difficulty keeping dates & times strait....with no respect for my work schedule....shows up late to hearings and seems confused/lost on what to do in court. Documentation that would have supported me in court was ignored by her. So, if your ok with your divorce dragging on for years at her expensive rate~hire her! It was more stressful having her as my attorney and keeping up with her demands with no results!
