This law firm helped me a great deal.I was fighting a divorce case against someone that never ended their first Marriage but due to her attorney being not only the biggest and most feared in Manitowoc county he's a close family friend that we spent many family gatherings with.When I found that she n...ever dissolved her first marriage she went to this attorney to file a divorce petition against me.This attorney then orchestrated a cover up to conceal the truth of his clients not dissolving her first marriage and destroy me.I retained an attorney from the same county we live only to find that he was conspiring with the opposing attorney who eventually talked him into withdrawing.What I didn't know until another attorney from a different county came into my restaurant to eat and we discussed my case is that the opposing attorney has close ties to the Judge on the case outside of the courthouse...so it's fair to say this wasn't a coincidence that this Judge was hearing the divorce case.Also,the commissioner that granted the divorce petition is friends with opposing attorney client mother,so the odds of me getting a fair hearing was slim to none.No attorneys in Manitowoc or the surrounding counties would take the case even after I got the evidence needed to file for an annulment because it would ruin their relationship with the courts as they all stated.I did a lot of researching in Milwaukee for attorneys and that's when I was referred to Hazel Washington.Now what I respect about Ms.Washington is that whatever she was disciplined for she owned up to whereas the opposing attorney lies and gets a pass everytime damages were done to me to protect his client. After consulting and reviewing my file,first thing Ms.Washington said to me was"Be honest about everything because we're not going into this courtroom with dirt on our hands"...I knew from there this is who I want to represent me.As disrespectful the opposing counsel was to Hazel she remained calm and positive and we eventually prevailed in court with a different Judge and my annulment being granted.So,my word of advice is we all make mistakes in life but if we're able to learn from mistakes we've made and do better that's more important than not excepting responsibility for your action.The attorney with the 5 star review,big law firm and all the connections could be the one that put you in a Financial Hardship and have you in a worse situation from breaking laws to protect you,so be careful who you retain to represent you.With that being said,I highly recommend the law firm of Hazel Washington.
