I met with several attorneys for short interviews prior to meeting Summer. Summer was immediately kind, thoughtful, thorough, grasped my wage theft problem at a current employer immediately, understood my DWD filings for wage theft up to that point, and eased my termination fears about it all! At tha...t first meeting she provided expert guidance and articulated how to tight-rope walk the situation, to try and help me retain my newer dream job, but as she kindly said at the end of that first meeting - she thought the writing was already on the wall. In addition she also worked well with the company's attorneys on pay-outs and settlements. Summer also "managed" me through the process - my emotions were running high, not only at the loss of a dream job with unscrupulous managers, but losing a job during Covid, battling through a court case with hearings/long depositions, and with no personal legal experience in employment law - I was left emotionally dangling and distraught at most turns. Summer was friendly and made me feel welcome even though I had been just laid off from my employer. She even took ...the time during the time I was in the hospital, to check in, ensuring I was okay. It's hard when you feel like one person against a corporation, but Summer Murshid was my champion. I can't say enough about that.
