I represent individuals in all matters affecting the family including collaborative practice, mediation, divorce, prenuptial agreements, child custody and placement matters, as well as paternity, adoption, guardianship and estate planning.
I have extensive experience representing individuals in the Collaborative Divorce Process and am the past Chair (2011) for the Collaborative Family Law Council of Wisconsin (CFLCW) Board of Directors and served as CFLCW's Training Chair for four years from 2007 to 2011. I frequently train other professionals in Collaborative Practice and have presented at International Academy of Collaborative Professionals Annual Conference, the State Bar of Wisconsin, the Italian Institute for Collaborative Law and numerous seminars for CFLCW.
I also have a Masters in Social Work and am trained and experienced as a mediator assisting parents and couples in resolving child-related and financial issues privately and without court involvement. In 2015 I co-founded the Family Mediation Center with Susan Hansen and we have offices in Milwaukee and Mequon. We will open a third office in 2016 in Waukesha and intend to provide a positive resource for families throughout southeastern Wisconsin.

Outstanding During and After
Greg was outstanding during the process and after. Setting expectations, coaching thru the difficult and potential impasses, and guiding steadily to a conclusion - with the least drama possible. Then has provided a steady source of info and support well after the conclusion when I had a question. Cou...

greg was a lifesaver ...
i was in a very difficult situation and feeling very hopeless. because my ex-husband was "high profile," i couldn't find an attorney who was willing to really figure out how to stand behind me and support me. greg was my third attorney and had five weeks before the final hearing to get caught up and ...

Did he even investigate
Hildebrand worked on my divorce and custody. He didn't investigate things that he should have, he seemed to be one-tracked and did not care about the interest of the children affected in the divorce.
It is unfortunate there is someone who is stating they were a client who is unwilling to identify themselves and their concerns to me directly. No one has raised any such concern with me directly nor am I aware of any custody case that was not handled successfully for my client. I frequently serve as a court appointed Guardian ad litem (GAL) for children and in that capacity have to make unpopular recommendations in custody and placement disputes. I believe this is a parent from such a case, and not a client, as a lawyer does not "investigate" ones own clients, but instead I ask questions and draw out a client's concerns to address them in either settlement or in court, if necessary. I have a Masters in Social Work, in addition to being a lawyer, and have done significant work for the last 15+ years as a GAL and advocate for children, and sometimes that advocacy is unpopular. I believe someone in conflict is using this forum to express that displeasure with their circumstance. I welcome this individual to contact me directly to discuss this as I am always willing to make certain that all clients - and parents in adversarial court appointed circumstances - are heard.

With his strengths as a lawyer, both representing parents and as a Guardian ad Litem for children, we can reach creative solutions to meet everyone one's needs. He has the ability to litigate but the foresight to negotiate and the skills to do so successfully. I have no reservations recommending him to anyone going through a divorce or separation."
