Traditional Divorce

I had a great outcome in my divorce, largely because I was represented by Greg Hildebrand. It was not a collaborative divorce as this attorney is known for, but traditional position based negotiation. I spoke to several reputable lawyers but I hired this one because he had the most well thought out s...trategy, especially when it came to child related issues. I got a better than expected outcome, including the placement schedule I wanted, and the process was as easy as it could be under the circumstances. Greg convinced the other side that taking our settlement offer was in their own best interests, but I always knew if we did end up in court I would be in good hands. I would recommend him to anybody, especially anyone with children, and in fact I have already done so.

Definite Recommendation

I am immensely grateful for Greg. My divorce was prolonged and ended in court. Throughout it, Greg was open in communication, articulate in thought and deed, and excellent in explanations of the process and options for me. He successfully helped me obtain the placement schedule that I desired for ...my kids. And he considered the best financial solutions. I strongly recommend Greg!

Did he even investigate

Hildebrand worked on my divorce and custody. He didn't investigate things that he should have, he seemed to be one-tracked and did not care about the interest of the children affected in the divorce.

It is unfortunate there is someone who is stating they were a client who is unwilling to identify themselves and their concerns to me directly. No one has raised any such concern with me directly nor am I aware of any custody case that was not handled successfully for my client. I frequently serve as a court appointed Guardian ad litem (GAL) for children and in that capacity have to make unpopular recommendations in custody and placement disputes. I believe this is a parent from such a case, and not a client, as a lawyer does not "investigate" ones own clients, but instead I ask questions and draw out a client's concerns to address them in either settlement or in court, if necessary. I have a Masters in Social Work, in addition to being a lawyer, and have done significant work for the last 15+ years as a GAL and advocate for children, and sometimes that advocacy is unpopular. I believe someone in conflict is using this forum to express that displeasure with their circumstance. I welcome this individual to contact me directly to discuss this as I am always willing to make certain that all clients - and parents in adversarial court appointed circumstances - are heard.

Excellence at it's best!

Greg Hildebrand came highly recommended to me by a family friend, also an attorney. A former family therapist, I hold great regard for the collaborative process and mediation. Above all, Greg and his team are highly competent professionals of stellar integrity. They are experts in their field, know w...hat they are doing and talking about, they walk the walk. The values that guide their professional niche, guide their actions. In my specific case, I was looking for someone who would be straightforward with me, not someone who was hell bent on one outcome or another. Greg shared his opinions and experience with me, honestly. I asked that he keep the best interest of my kids as whole people in mind, not me. I asked that he be a reality check to me if my bias or feelings ever needed to be checked. He delivered, always. I also have to share that I was on a very limiting income, and every moment I paid for represented sacrifices, things I couldn't provide, a bill that didn't get paid on time, etc. I never had one moment of regret for any of the expense. I always felt the time I was billed for was carefully, thoughtfully and intentionally utilized. That meant a lot to me. Those were times when I was scraping up $ for field trips and fine arts fees, medication for an unexpected illness, etc. Those were tough times and I am deeply grateful for the firms understanding of that. Greg's knowledge and insight are top notch. Masters of their trade understand the complexity in the seemingly simple AND possess the ability to make the complex, simple. They know how to see the big picture and the details. Greg moves through these dimensions of his work with individuals and the system with ease and unparalleled skill. I also noticed that Greg saw through things, in essence beyond the present moment, under the surface level, he paid attention to what actions, behaviors or words appeared and thought as well about what their appearance represented or meant. And, he knew if, when and how to shine light on that truth in a very skilled and adept way. And he provided me with solid guidance to make decisions about how I wanted to proceed along the way. I couldn't have asked for a better guide to help me make never easy but always well informed decisions. I have since referred many friends and clients to Greg, and always do so with 100% confidence. I am a raving fan of Greg's work, as well as the professional and person he is. I truly am, forever grateful.
