We had no idea what we were up against when our only son was taking into custody. Our initial thought was to practice tough love but through prayer and spiritual advice we were reminded that he was a young black man 20 years old that the system will eat him up and throw the keys away. Found this to... be so true as we sat in a courtroom where the Asst. DA promised that she will see to him getting 80 years ` I almost passed out… Left the courtroom in disbelief feeling Helpless.
